Remove NFE from Scratch
I think the Scratch Team should remove NFE, and ask questions before banning people. Why remove NFE (Not for Everyone), well because if a project becomes NFE, then it can't be featured, and it won't appear in the Search. Most popular Scratchers wouldn't even be here today if one of there earlier projects were marked NFE, so by using the NFE system, you are actually ruining some Scratchers chances of people finding their projects. If the Scratch Team removed NFE I think they would have more users on Scratch, because sometimes when people stop viewing their projects people will start leaving the site. Well we are on the subject of things the Scratch Team should change, I think the Scratch Team should ask questions before they ban someone. For instance, the @ScartchToem incident: Once upon a time there was a user named @ScartchToem. @ScartchToem is a living Scratch meme. The Scratch Team saw this account and instantly banned him (or her?). Later the member of the Scratch Team who created the famous Scartch Cart Scratch meme, saw that they had banned @ScartchToem, and helped him get unbanned. They didn't even ask a question before they banned him! In conclusion, I think that the Scratch Team should start asking questions before they ban someone, and remove NFE.

Remove NFE from Scratch
I think you might be misunderstanding the purpose of NFE. It's not just “oh this project's not going to get featured or show up in search results”, the project is, well, “not for everyone”, and since Scratch is designed to be “for everyone”, it makes a lot of sense why the NFE system exists. Plus, projects would only really get marked NFE if they've been reported and the ST's reviewed them.
For the “ask questions before banning people”, unless there's something really big a user's done they were probably given a warning before getting banned. (For your ScartchToem example I'm sure that you don't know the whole story.) If there was a mistake or the ST did actually ban someone for no reason, the ban would probably be lifted as long as the person who was banned appealed with good reasons?

by using the NFE system, you are actually ruining some Scratchers chances of people finding their projects. That's basically the point of the NFE system: to prevent people from finding it.
It's not a complete takedown even though projects marked NFE technically violate the Community Guidelines; it allows you to show your project with your friends and family while preventing some kid/parent/teacher accidentally finding it through the search feature resulting in the ban of Scratch from their school or household.

To respond to both parts of your suggestion:
NFE: If the user doesn't want their project NFE'd, they shouldn't make a project with questionable content in it.
Scratch is a site for all ages, and content on the site should be too.
That's all I can say.
Bans: They already do. As much as people think otherwise, the Scratch Team does not ban a user for absolutely no reason. Most of the time, bans result from the user repeatedly breaking the rules and receiving multiple alerts in a short amount of time, or from extremely serious offenses like bullying or impersonation, and in both cases the user clearly deserves the ban. Scratch is a site with many kids on it, and when it comes to bans it's generally better to err on the side of caution rather than let a bully or troll rampage freely.
If a user thinks they were banned unfairly, they're given the option of contacting the Scratch Team and sorting it out one-on-one. The ST are humans too - they make mistakes as much as the next person. In the case of @ScartchToem, the ban was not given totally without reason; the ST reasonably (though wrongly) assumed from the name of the account that they were impersonating @scratchteam. And in the end, everything was sorted out and all was well.
EDIT: Ninja'd 3 times!

Your missing the point of NFE. If you don't want your project to be NFE, don't make anything with content that may question users.

No support. It's how edgy projects can stay while not be exposed to many.

No support, the NFE places itself for projects that are not adequate, allowing the children not to see them at first sight

NFE lets a certain amount of variety come into scratch. Also if you don't want to be nfe dont use inaprotiate content in your projects. Also the ST sends prvite messages

I don't know why my game is classified as “NFE” because I only made a game called geometry dash sandbox, which when I search it up, I only see this geometry dash sandbox game made by a sans guy. My game isn't even bad. Ever since I published it I couldn't find it when I searched it. I literally put so much work in it and I had to put on online games that weren't mine just to get people on it.

(removed by moderator - please keep it polite)it nfe’d it cuz flashing. OMG LET USERS EXPRESS THEIR CREATIVITY EVEN IF IT DOESNT HAVE AN EPILESPY WARNING!First off, the Scratch Team is not stupid.
Second, this was because there are some Scratchers who are triggered by flashing lights, so the NFE is not incorrectly placed on your project.

If a project has epileptic effects, it should be announced and warned ahead of the game actually starting.
I don't see any epileptic effects in their project though, so I don't know how it was NFE'd unless it was changed.

(#12)Well, an epilepsy warning is neccasary if there IS flashing lights.
(removed by moderator - please keep it polite), it nfe’d it cuz flashing. OMG LET USERS EXPRESS THEIR CREATIVITY EVEN IF IT DOESNT HAVE AN EPILESPY WARNING!
Think as if you could get seizures from flashing lights, how'd that be if you found something from search, and it had absolutely zero warning of flashing lights, and you got a seizure from it?
Would that be any better if anyone here was epileptic, or even you?
Just to point out: A person can have literal permanent scars, or even outright die if repeated or unstoppable.
Not mad or anything, just saying that without putting a singular warning of epilepsy, you are risking people to possible death or permanent scars.
