Binary is a universal language, if they don't use the same symbols to represent numbers (The 1s and 0s) then we just find a different way to show binary.

Thanks, while I can appreciate a few jokes I do think this is an interesting topic to ‘properly’ discuss. I think it's interesting to see what kinds of things people think are important, but not in a large scale way- the everyday stuff that people think is interesting or peasant enough that given the opportunity to share with a creature outside of our joint culture, they would. Not only do you get to know what other people like, but you maybe find some things you'd like yourself.

Back on topic, I guess. I think it would be cool to show the aliens the sims franchise. The'd probably find the idea that humans entertain themselves by playing a somewhat realistic simulation of themselves to be interesting as it is, let alone the actual game itself.

Same, but what if they don't have them? It all depends on how aliens get entertainment and think- what if the concept of humour itself is foreign to them. What if we put all this effort into meeting aliens and they have no jokes.
