Are face reveals allowed on Scratch?

Hey, everyone! I was just wondering if face reveals were allowed on Scratch. I've been thinking about that question since last week.

Not really, especially if the project is focused on showing your face. If there's another reason, though, for instance your face in a game, then it's probably fine.

Some people also show their face on their profile picture. This is fine.

The reason face reveal projects aren't allowed is that they tend to lead to disrespectful comments.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

I think they're generally not advised for safety reasons though, as everyone has said, I don't think there's a specific rule against using your face.

I believe it's fine to use your face, the problem is a face reveal. It creates too much attention on your face and can lead to hurtful comments.

Mostly not. You can only show it if your parents are fine with it.

If you feel comfortable you can show your face, but I recommend not to because it's a privacy issue. Just like powercon5, people might say hurtful things to your face.

I don't think it's against any scratch team rules, but one thing you have to worry about is the comments, online stalking or kidnapping, and other dangerous things can happen if your reveal/post your identity online. So, I don't recommend it. Though there is a scratcher that had revealed their face twice and their voice, too.

i'm pretty sure it is. because one time I remember going through an ST member's comments and one asked if face reveals were allowed, and the ST member said no.
