Pretty much a topic dedicated to Wimpy Kid like books. Like Timmy Failure, The Middle School series, etc.


Edit: I only want books that have concepts similar to DOAWK, not humorous books in general.

The Big Nate books. I loved them a lot, especially last year, and I actually own the first and last books in the series.

My favorite of them is the 4th one, mostly because I remember that the first time I read it it was a weekend when I was in elementary school, and for some reason weekends in elementary school bring me nostalgia.

I remember liking the comic books they had.

I also started reading the Timmy Failure series. I think they're making a movie directed by Tom McCarthy.

The Talented Mr. Ripley because the protagonist is a sociopath.

Dear Dumb Diary?

It did come around when Diary of a Wimpy Kid came to life online. It's told in a perspective of a girl, but manages to portray her non-stereotypical. I don.mt like how the humor in the early books are gross-out.

I read in a magazine that a series called something like ‘World Of Norm’ was like Wimpy Kid

My Life as a Book series? I only read the Gamer one. It's not exactly like Diary of a Wimpy Kid for starters, but I like how the protagonist is a dyslexic boy who illustrates his vocabulary words.

DIARY OF A ROBLOX NOOB, ANYONE?!?! They're trash that only appeals to elementary kids in my opinion. I downloaded the Jailbreak one and it wasn't funny at all.

I once read Diary of a Minecraft Villager. It was actually fairly decent for an unofficial thing, though.

I did however, read the first Timmy Failure books, they were good, I like how the protagonist is less of a jerk then Greg Heffley.

I did however, read the first Timmy Failure books, they were good, I like how the protagonist is less of a jerk then Greg Heffley.

Some of those, such as I Funny, There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, and Fudge, aren't really Diary of a Wimpy kid clones. They're just generic realistic fiction novels.

The Don't Call Me Ishmael series has a similar tone to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, as well as the same self-depreciating, ironic humour. It's an Australian book, and nowhere near mainstream though, so it might be hard to find.
