There used to be a really popular website called “notepad.cc” that was very similar to what @DeleteThisAcount made. People loved it. When it shut down, everyone was sad. So it's a cool idea, and I hope @DeleteThisAcount spends some more time on it!

No reason you have to use Vim. You could use Notepad, or TextEdit or WordPad, or Gedit, or Kate, or Stickies, or anything else. Though of course you should really be using Emacs…
