QUESTION FOR EVERYONE (cause im curious): What do you think the saddest death is? (Well in my opinion I don't think they died but yeah.)
For me it's Spider-Man. It's a sin to kill the comic relief!

Yeah, his death was sad, but I was really upset at Doctor Strange's death.
Saddest of all was Loki though.

Loki was terrible, after everything that happened in Thor: Ragnarok it really hit hard. The end was a little different, as sad as it was there's a bunch of stuff about it being bad luck or they're just stuck in the Soul Stone but that was the big end of the movie. Loki's death was completely singled out. It completely caught everyone off guard, and there's no “he's in the soul stone” because Thanos didn't have it. We can only hope Loki is using another one of his tricks.

Yeah, I'm hoping Loki's tricking us. Like, he's a god, so it can't be that easy to kill him. Like Thor survived the fire on Asgard, so couldn't Loki have just… idk… passed out? And he's the god of mischief, so you'd think he has something up his sleeve.

Infinity War would have one of the best endings of all time if it was the actual ending of the MCU. I might be a bit biased considering that I don't really care about Marvel and that I love tragedies, though.

I think (and am kind of hoping) he is going to stay dead. I wasn't very happy with his death but it was an okayish ending to his character arc and if Marvel brings him back for a third time it will be hard to trust them whenever they decide to kill off another character.
It would be interesting to see more of his character in a prequel Loki standalone film or maybe in movies that take place in the past (I am secretly hoping he will show up in Captain Marvel but I know that is extremely unlikely).

While I think this theory is good, I have one thing to point out. One or all of the original three Avengers is going to die. The contracts for Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr. are up after Avengers 4, so my guess is that Captain America will sacrifice his life as the original Avenger and end what he began. Thor and Iron Man will retire, with Iron Man being the patron saint of the new Avengers (which I suspect will be helmed by Captain Marvel) and will most likely include Ant Man, Spiderman, Hulk (maybe???), Black Panther, Doctor Strange, etc. Basically all the phase two characters. The one flaw I see in this theory is that they introduced several new characters in the second and third films for both the new and old characters.

Again, I like the stones being re-made into a new gauntlet, but I have a feeling Thanos wouldn't have gone to all that trouble to build the gauntlet just to dismantle it.

Anyone got any other thoughts (besides the fact that Spiderman's death was the saddest ever

Yeah, if Marvel wants to reverse the snap there has to be a lot of sacrifices the heroes have to make. Here are my thoughts to what will happen to the original avengers:

I mentioned in another post that my theory is that they will go back in time to collect the stones before Thanos (I'm not so sure if this is true after watching Ant-Man and the Wasp (spoiler) I really expected time travel to be briefly used in that movie, but it wasn't (/spoiler)) and when they go to Vormir for the Soul Stone, Captain America sacrifices himself (or tells Tony to sacrifice him if it has to work that way).

I am really hoping Iron Man doesn't die and simply retires after his wedding with Pepper. Maybe he can reappear shortly in the Avengers 5 and give a pep talk to the new avengers or something.

I am really confused about what's gonna happen to the Hulk/Banner, I think they will work it out but I don't know if they will die or not.

Thor should definitely get another movie, in this one he finally takes Odin's place and is ruling Asgard (on Earth, I guess). And of course the name should be The Mighty Thor

Hawkeye's family likely got dusted and Jeremy Renner said something about Hawkeye being really epic in this one, so I bet he will die a very heroic death.

Black Widow is likely getting her own movie, so she can't die unless it is a prequel (which imo it should be).

But it is really difficult theorizing about a movie you don't know the title of yet

Nope, because then he'd have cut 3/4 of the population down. No more, no less.

plot twist, past Dr. Strange shows up somewhere and just undoes the snap, or loops time and just laughs as thanos keeps snapping him over and over and over…
