Non-American Western Animation

Ryasis and I-Iz-A-Litten requested that this topic should exist so here we go.
Talk about Western Animation not from USA (Canada, Mexico, France, UK, etc).
This topic is a sub-topic of the Non-Western Animation Topic. Both of these topics merged creates the Non-Camerican Animation Topic.
Mentions in posts:

Here are my recommendations:
Ernest And Celestine
The Triplets of Belleville
Mary And Max
When The Wind Blows
My Life As A Zucchini
The Secret of Kells
A Town Called Panic
Song of The Sea
Watership Down
The Breadwinner
Fantastic Planet

I feel these two topics could be merged into a “non-American animation” topic. It'd allow for a greater range of films to be recommended.

I have a conspiracy theory that the only reason The Breadwinner didn't make that much money (It's Total Domestic Gross was $312,381) was because Disney's Coco was released 5 days after it. (in the USA at least.)

Proof:

The Breadwinner (GKIDS)

Release Date: November 17, 2017

Gross: $312,381

Coco (Disney)

Release Date: November 22, 2017

Gross: $209,726,015

(source: Box Office Mojo)

Also the Breadwinner was rated PG-13, so that may have something to do with it.

I'm sure that Coco's release was a factor, but there were several reasons for The Breadwinner's failure. It was distributed by GKIDS, a great production company who unfortunately don't have much money and could only give it a limited release (I'm pretty sure The Breadwinner was on at the same time as the Studio Ghibli festival too, and that might've taken higher priority for them). It's also nowhere near a family movie, and the marketing/rating made the film's political and dark nature pretty obvious. Because of the assumption that all animation is for children, it didn't manage to attract an audience of adults either.

You should probably allow Asian animation, just no Japanese.

I believe the animated Mr. Bean show is British. I've never watched it but live action Bean is good.
