Micro:bit is Now Available
The Micro:bit will be a Scratch Extension in Scratch 3.0. It is a small circuit board with lights, buttons, and tilt/movement sensors.

Very cool! I can think of some very cool things to do with this..
I'm just a forum helper looking to code, write, produce, record, rap, and design. I'm also Christian and conservative.
Looking forward to using 3.0 on mobile

Wow, this looks awesome! I don't think I can get a micro:bit though…
This signature was blown up by Alpha's laser beam.

Hi having just got a microbit and being excited for learners connecting microbit to scratch I am struggling to work out how to get it to work with a chromebook. Does any one know if it is on the development roadmap or have a guide as to how to achieve it now? All of our learners have chromebooks and only have macos or windows would be a big limitation. I can see the potential here. Thanks

Although nothing is impossible - currently there is no method of practical method of writing extensions to do this and have them work from normal Scratch3
