After a few bosses, ranged: the paintball gun is good if you get it. It uses no ammo, does decent damage and it fires multiple shots.
Magic, before Hardmode bosses: frost staff is good, and you can use water bolt occasionally.
Magic, pre moon lord: razorpine, heat ray and staff of earth are great weapons. Blizzard staff is good too.
Post moon lord magic: nebula blaze weapons are pretty good. Also lunar flare.
Summoner: sentries aren’t the best option for non-desktop players, but lunar portal is great for lunar events. Also rainbow crystal. Stardust cell is good for bosses too.

I'd love to, but I'm trying to save money. I'll wait till it's on sale on Steam.

I beat the Moon Lord for about the 105th time.
No, I definitely didn't get help from my sister every single time. That's ridiculous.

I always beat it by myself, usually in Expert Mode.
i 1000% did not use the nurse + autopause every time

please stand for one minute of silence as we commemorate the death of the 50th moon lord in the world of nunyabisness.

(Yes my world is called that)

{The moon lord is a joke if you have the nurse. You pay a lot, but you will win for sure even with beetle armour. Just get the solar eruption and you win easy}

Hey guys! I'm excited, because I got Terraria on Steam, and I have full Molten Armor, and I only need the Fiery Greatsword (it's made out of fire!) and the Blade of Grass before I get the Night's Edge. To sum it up, I have the best armor before hardmode and am about to get the best sword before hardmode.

I beat the Wall of Flesh, curiously, without my Night's Edge; instead, I used a Hellwing Bow. It's extremely useful because of its terrible aim, which allowed me to spread fire at The Hungry, while also doing significant damage to the Wall itself.

You know, there's a reason it's called hardmode. The other day, I was mining in the underground (where else would you mine?) and I get this chat message: “The air gets colder around you…” Well, I know what that means; Skeletron Prime. So I teleport back to the surface, take my glitch-evator up to the sky, and wait for him to spawn. Then I have to get off the computer and I can't get back on. So I had to quit Terraria and miss the Skeletron Prime fight.

How convenient.

Thorium mod is so broken. I cheated at 2 fights using bugs the developers never thought of.

The Buried Champion - If your marble enclosure is right below your spawn point you can die/teleport home and then continue the fight.

The Ragnorok - After dying near your spawn point, fly upward and continue the fight.

Tried beating the eye of Cthulhu as practice. Took 5 minutes to finish the fight because of stardust dragon and invincibility frames. Stardust cell?
Than a second with meowmere. With meowmere and stardust dragon, there was no room for my cats to hit so the dragon was useless. Crowd control? That’s another thing. Helped a lot with Solar Eclipse. But bosses it is not that good. Stardust cell is better.

Terraria is fun and brings me enjoyment, but at the end of the day, I have to admit it's a bad game, at the core of it that is. I like Terraria, it's honestly pretty cool, but when you think about it, all you do is move and click, which is kind of boring. I know that some bosses like fishron on expert is pretty difficult, but honestly if you know what you're doing, no boss is hard (Unreal sniper rifle, chlorophyte bullets, lucky on all accessories and buff crit chance). Because I am extremely well versed in Terraria, I'll share my protips with you people who are just starting.
Tips for expert mode, because normal mode is for n00bs.

In general: ALWAYS have a campfire. ALWAYS have a heart lantern nearby. ALWAYS have sunflower nearby. ALWAYS BUFF w/ POTIONS!

Eye of Cthulhu
Build 3 layers of playforms, have a grappling hook and hermes boots. Make platform layers VERY long. When low on HP, drink potion, otherwise use nurse (so build the arena next to home).
Recommended weapons:
Grenade. This is used for clearing the servants. Also, if Cthulhu dashes, he might run into a stray nade. You can take down Cthulhu with nades only.
A Ranged Weapon. Preferably a gun, because arrows have low velocity, but any ranged weapon works. Make sure to aim well.

Eater of Worlds

Use bombs and carve a REALLY BIG hole in the undergrounds. Build 3-5 layers of platforms.
Recommended weapons:
Grenade. Does splash damage, so good against this segmented worm.
Ranged Weapon with Jester Arrow. These arrows pierce, so it's an easy win. Try to get the Eater to be aligned horizontally so you can get in the pwnage position. Watch out for its spitball, which does BIG damage.
Vilethorn: A substitute for the ranged+jester combo.

Brain of Cthulhu

Like EoW, bomb the space to make it desired space, build lots of platforms, and MAKE SURE YOU BLOCK OFF EACH CHASM WITH DIRT/WHATEVER.
Recommended Weapons:
Crimson Rod, for constant piercing damage.
Ranged Weapon with Jester Arrow (and another type of ammo for second stage)
Grenade. Nades clear the creepers.

Skeletron

Skeletron… a horror. I hate this guy and so should you. Build A LOT OF PLATFORM LAYERS (And A LOT). Put campfires, heart lanterns, honey (optional), and sunflower. You can also build a quick house for your nurse, but you don't have to. Always have a grapple ready, and make sure to have hermes boots or better.
Recommended weapons:
Amazon. The best pre-Hmode yoyo does a nice job at clearing his hands. Make sure you have a white string accessory.
Ranged Weapon, for his head.

Queen Bee

Platforms, and make sure you can get to the honey and back up to safety with ease. Dipping in honey gives HP regen.
Queen bee is fairly easy to kill, so use whatever weapon you want.

Wall of Flesh

Build a bridge that spans for 3/4 of the whole world. Make sure it's flat. Then summon WoF on one side. Make sure to put campfires periodically.
Recommended weapons:
Hellwing Bow: EASY kill
Waterbolt: I don't recommend this, but whatevs.
Grenade & beenade: Clears Hungries.
Space Gun: Only if you have full meteorite armor.

The Three Mech Bosses

Get wings before you attempt any of this stuff. Also at least Tier 2 HM Material armor (Mythril, Orichalcum)
Destroyer: Platforms everywhere!!! Use Holy Arrows plus Unreal Daedalus Stormbow, easy win! Plus nimbus rod if you can. If you can't get Daedalus SB, use any autofire gun with crystal bullets.

I recommend that you get Destroyer first, because it is the easiest.

Twins: Use a GUN, not bow. Build a sky bridge that spans for 3/4-5/6 of the map. You will be running in 1 direction, then switching directions. You should make this with asphalt blocks, but it's optional.
Recommended Guns
Megashark: Make sure you defeat Destroyer first. Megashark is pretty good for the twins since it's fairly accurate, but I personally don't like this weapon.
UZI: A direct upgrade to Megashark, and also doesn't require you to beat any Mech Boss. Does require you to farm… In the jungle, so watch out.
Clockwork Assault Rifle: Really really useful, and easy to get.
Onyx Blaster: Only if you defeat Destroyer first. And only if you gave Crimson, because of ichor bullets. Use ichor bullets with this.

SKP: Same as the regular skeletron, use 2x more platforms for him. He has 4 hands now so make sure you have lots of movement speed. Use guns.

Plantera:
Really really easy. Clear a HUGE HUGE SQUARE in the jungle. Because Hardmode Plantera is much more difficult, I don't recommend the teleport tactic. You should use a ranged weapon that pierces, explodes, or shatters. UZI with crystal or explosive bullets can do the trick quite nicely. Flamethrower can also work because of its' pierce.

Golem:
If you beat plantera, you can beat golem. Golem compared to Plantera is a joke, honestly. Just don't get overconfident, and you will win.

Cultist:
It will help if you have a cosmic car key. Use ranged weapons, as usual, because ranged > melee 9/10 times.

Moon Lord:
Make a safehouse arena to block the phantasmal deathrays that Moon Lord casts. Use solar eruption, or weapons that go through walls. Solar eruption is the best choice due to it being the highest damaging wall ignorant weapon. Or alternatively, fly around in your UFO, and use vortex beater and chlorophyte bullets. Dodge well if you choose this method.
I HIGHLY recommend using weapons with homing projectiles so you can focus on juking his attacks.
DO NOT USE LIFESTEAL WEAPONS. He gives a debuff that disables lifesteal and regen!
Duke : Really easy with the correct loadout. I recommend that you use an Unreal Sniper Rifle.

Make sure you have “Lucky” on ALL your accessories~
Destroyer Embelm
Eye of the Golem
Sniper Scope
Any Wing
Anything to buff Ranged Damage.

I recommend Shroomite armor (headgear) , or if you are at that stage, Vortex Armor.

Calculations:
Unreal SNR: 29%+(5%*29*) = 30.45% (Weapon Crit Chance)
Destroyer Embelm +8% (+4%)
Eye +10% (+4%)
Sniper Scope +10% (+4%)
Wings(+4%)
Accessory 1 (+4%)
Accessory 2 (+4%)
Thats a total of +28% (+24%) which is +52%.

Shroomite armor gives +25% which totals to +77%
Vortex armor gives +27% which totals to +79%

Shroomite Grand total: over 100
Vortex Grand total: over 100
So every shot is a crit? Basically. If I did the calculations wrong, then I'll let you know that it is possible to raise the crit% to at least 98%.

How is moving and clicking boring? Just because it's controlled like a majority of games doesn't make it a bad game. What matters is the content in the game.
