My coriographer (spelling lol im tired) for my Theatre Camp this year is gay, and I think having some sort of role model, whether it be in fiction or real life, being gay will show kids (teens and adults, too!) to be more open. And heck-it may even bring them the courage to come out!

What I'm trying to say is that there's an absence of LGBTQ+ role models in society (besides Youtube and gay friends/family members) and that's what we really need. Kids are already feeling confused/scared about their orientation, and a character could really help some of these people.
