WHY BEHIND THE VARIABLE THIS HORRIBLE ORANGE BACKROUND!

Hello, a way of improving this fabulous site called ‘'scratch’' would be to delete this horrible orange backround behind the variables, which you can create.
If the creator could just modify the size and the color of the number, the backround would be created by the creator himself.
Also make an improvement to the layers, for example you have a sidescreen, where the layers are showed
and then the creator could modify all the sprites from there. Its kinda adding a system layer next to the costume and sound button option.

Ty for your read…

WHY BEHIND THE VARIABLE THIS HORRIBLE ORANGE BACKROUND!

First, it's not horrible. It's just a very shouting color.
Secondly, you can do that, you just have to show the variable not in it's actual state, I don't think the ability of customization of how variables look is necessary.

First Thank you for your response.
I agree about the fact that the orange color is beautiful. But depends on which ambiance the color of the game is, it just doesn't fit in the game.
I do not understand ‘'show the variable not in its actual state…’' Can you explain me more in details plz…

But, but, orange isn't a bad color for the variables. It's just a stupid color. No support.

You can actually change the color of the variable.
I forgot how to though.

This change will keep the color of the variable everywhere.
And by that, I mean:

In different projects
In other projects you are making
In the project you are making

You can change it back using the same feature.

WHY BEHIND THE VARIABLE THIS HORRIBLE ORANGE BACKROUND!

Shift-clicking Edit and then clicking “Change Block colors” changes the color of a variable's background once you create a variable after changing the block colors, although it is not permanent.

After you change the background color and leave the project, gaping back in the project will return the variable's background color to be orange again.

This feature is convenient, but the Scratch server might not be able to save the background color of a variable to itself, because it might take too much memory space, which is probably why it isn't permanent.

Better solution: remove the HORRIBLE ORANGE BACKROUND

Can the variable backround change colors please it would make some video game programing easier if you could also change it clear or what ever color you would need to use for it (and stay that way) (im not saying orange is a bad color it would just make the videogame seem more understandable)
-Thank you for reading

No support because:
I really dont think you understand the point of variables. They are for keeping track of jumbles of characters. The reason we have sliders and stuff is so they can easily be edited while the project is running. Variables are able to store entire images, but I don't see the point of being able to make them other than a solid color
Also, pen text engines exist, so go steal one of those with credit and that leads to tons of customizability already

that used to exsist in scratch 1.4, however you can still use reporters in different categories or you may use a text engine. with the former you can't change the name and you may be limited to be in certain values or you cannot set them at all. with the latter though it may be too hard for you, if you use clones it will be high resulotion but you will be capped at 300 characters and if you use stamps it will look pixelated

anyways i believe this is a dupe- wait, it is! continue the discussion here to avoid cluttering the forums!

no support, there are already tons of ways you can customize your variables, you just need to use a text engine, griffpatch also made a tutorial on it right here
