Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor.

I'm new to Scratch and wanting to install the offline editor. I folowed the instructions, but when i unzip the installer I can find the installer.exe file. Anyone know where I'm going wrong?

Hi, i dunno if already fixed becouse i dont have the newest update, but in offline version of scratch editor there isnt backpack.

Scratch please help! I have a project in the offline editor, and i can't upload to website because it says the server isn't responding. i also can't update even to V404 because it says some error keeps occurring. Thanks!

Scratch team help! I've been working very hard on fixing my project for a Competition that I got into a final. After an hour or so I started to edit costumes and Offline Editor started to bug and glitch out when I was double and triple clicking to change colour of many pixels, it would glitch out thinking that I'm holding down lmb all the time or that I keep on clicking. I went to the desktop and refreshed few times, went to the Offline Editor and spammed my lmb few times which managed to fix my problem but after 15 minutes same thing occurred but I could not fix it any way, so I decided to save my project, close Offline Editor and restart my PC. But when I tried to save it would not do anything, so I tried Save As which brought up the Save As window so I renamed my project and clicked save as. I checked if it saved but it was not there, I decided to redo the process but with out any effort. When ever I clicked close it would bring up the window asking if I want to save before closing, when clicked Save it would just close the window and that's it. I decided to check normal saving and saving as but no luck either. So I had to close it and not save AND it closed but my project stayed the same just as I opened it the very first time today.

I am really angry of what has happened and would like to get some info why this happened and how to avoid it in the future, there is some fault in me for not saving manually but where is the auto save feature at and why it did not save even once??

I have the same problem.

I followed the instructions at http://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/ so as to download Adobe AIR and the offline editor. I can't find the help that we need in any of the online introductions, such as the simple 10-minute introduction at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y6J2jXjU34 or the Getting Started Guide that we downloaded from http://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download. After unzipping (“extracting”) the scratch.zip file, I looked for an exe file and can't find one …

on the ofline editor the costume of the sprite always goes into the top right corner for some reason and i cant move it

Something odd is in the 2.0 version Offline Editor. When I use the circle tool, it makes a circle, except that it is fuzzy around the edges…this means that when I try to use the fill bucket to erase the circle, it leaves a ring of other colors that vary lighter and darker. I have to use the eraser and slowly manually erase the lines, which messes up my drawing and is not thorough. Please fix this, I have to draw a circle using the pencil tool right now. Not a problem in the online 2.0 editor.

The reason is because it's offline. It does not have any connection to the Internet, meaning that it can't ‘remember’ the sprites/sounds/programs you have put in there from other projects online. If you must import anything, you have to manually download it and then upload it to the 2.0 offline editor.
