My school network has been blocked even though I haven't broken the guidelines??
I've experienced a weird problem. I tried accessing Scratch at school and it gave me a “your network has been blocked as it was used to break the guidelines” message or something like that, but when I accessed it at home it worked just fine. I even checked my messages and I didn't have a ban message. As far as I know, I haven't committed any offenses. The only people who use Scratch at school are me and another student. I don't know why I can't access Scratch. If any of you people know what might've happened, please tell me. Thank you.

Maybe someone in school abused Scratch.

Your school's probably blocked scratch, whether intentional or not. You might want to ask them why they've blocked it.

So you're saying if one user “abuses” Scratch on the network, it blocks ALL users on the network? Maybe someone in school abused Scratch.

Actually, it's usually if more than one user (with the same IP) abuses Scratch. The cause for this could also be that someone got blocked and tried to get around that ban by making a new account (known as “sockpuppeting”–this is not allowed). If a user does that, then the IP is banned as well to ensure that they cannot use Scratch. So you're saying if one user “abuses” Scratch on the network, it blocks ALL users on the network? Maybe someone in school abused Scratch.

What is possible is that some people in your school district could've been offending the guidelines on purposely, and wasn't listening to the alerts. Unless the head of your district is able to contact Scratch about it, the network won't be able to access it if that is the case.
