The team is now aware of the concerns about the block padding when viewing projects with many scripts. I have learned from a recent conversation that, while it may not be something we can address before the official Scratch 3.0 rollout in August, it is something we will be looking at closely.

Feedback on the Scratch 3.0 preview now has it's own topic over in the “Bugs and Glitches” area, which is being monitored by the design team. Further concerns with Scratch 3.0 should be directed to that topic.
