Hey, if anyone would like this as a userstyle, I made one that also keeps the line between post and signature from scrolling:

.postsignature {overflow:auto; max-height:154px; margin-top:14px;}
.postmsg > :nth-last-child(2) {position:relative;}
.postmsg > :nth-last-child(2)::after {content:"____________________________"; color:#ccc; position:absolute; left:0; bottom:-6.5px; height:14px;}
.postsignature hr {display:none;}
.postsignature::-webkit-scrollbar {display: none;}

This should completely work on any Webkit browsers (Chrome and Safari); others will show the scrollbar, but will still work. Just set the sites that this is applied to to ones starting with https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/.

I don't see why you can't already use this. It's the exact same thing. Is there anything else specifically that you're looking for in side-scrolling signatures?

What are you talking about? I quoted the right post. There's nothing wrong with adding some kind of text in the [code] and adding links or whatever on the outside.

Then maybe you should make a suggestion that allows a user to use BBCode in [code].

I still don't think this suggestion is such a good idea for reasons already mentioned by @Sigton mentioned in @allwoodaj's signature.

I make platformers (1) and moist stuff (2) and here's some long text you're probably not gonna read, because those scroll bars are awful. Have I already told you that I make platformers?

I was telling the user that they misunderstood (I think), as @fdreerf talked about using BBCode in codes, not in signatures in general.
I never said it's horrible to use BBCode outside of the [code][/code] tag. That actually wasn't my point.

Cool. Now do colors, bold, italics, center, strikethrough, underline, emoji, images, text size, scratchblocks, quotes, and lists while also keeping it scrollable.
