How do custom blocks work? I have used them once and heard things. But, don't they allow more things to be run? Like less blocks. Anything inside will run as one block. Is that how they work?

Okay, I saw nothing for projects, though. What if there was a specific project you were looking for, but you don't remember the Scratcher who made it? But you remember what it was (say, Doctor Who Animation)? Obviously, there are multiple. Is there anyway to sort them out?
