FIGURED IT OUT!
Scratch uses an <iframe> tag to display the output. Clicking on a link will set the url to that page, and display it inside the <iframe>

FIGURED IT OUT!Welcome to the “figured it out” club. Iframes are like this - I suspect the only way to fix(?) this would be to change iframe to something else, or perhaps somehow disable link-clicking in the iframe.
