Color/Ghost effect lag.
I hate this bug. It seems like it started in Scratch 2.0. I don't think there is anything wrong with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Flash, Java, Windows or Firefox.
I thought it was just a scratch problem.
when I receive [pie v]
ask [Oh boy, What flavor?] and wait
play sound [Pie Flavor! v]
set instrument to (Electric Guitar v)
play note (Awesomeness v) for (Infinite) beats
switch costume to [Laughing v]

The color effect causes a ton of lag for me, but not the ghost effect; that seems to work fine.

It was lagging with the color and brightness effect once, but it's gotten better.

There should be hardware acceleration utilizing Stage 3D in use. You might have a GPU that does not support Stage 3D.The color effect causes a ton of lag for me, but not the ghost effect; that seems to work fine.Agreed

While I was making a tree mouse trail, I thought ‘ What if I make the trail rainbow? ’ and I used the color graphic effect and it lagged.

Check the date of the last post. That was 2 years ago! If you need help, just make a separate topic/thread in the appropriate forum.
Thanks!

I agree. Over the last 4 days paper minecraft (and older versions thereof) have suddenly taken a real performance hit in chrome under windows. It has not taken a hit when running firefox as far as I can see. If I remove all ‘brightness’ effects then things run fine in Chrome also. I'd like to note that it appears to really begin lagging even with small sprites having this effect applied when 95% of the screen is not affected. This was not the case 4 days ago (or so). Best guess therefore is that this is related to a Chrome update? Psyborg has told me that swapping to adobes flash player instead of the built in chrome flash player improved things, but I haven't been able to confirm the same findings (but I could have done it wrong). Please please please can this be looked into?Omg. Hiya Griffpatch! Fancy running into you here (wink wink) idc that this is an oldchain

The history section of this article explains why this happened.
Anyway this is a nerco so I don't think there is a need to post on it anymore.
