What is a Picoboard?

I have no idea what it is. What does it do with scratch? Add new blocks? I don't know! And where can you get one?

A PicoBoard is a piece of hardware that allows Scratch projects to interact with the outside world. Currently it works on Scratch 1.4.

The PicoBoard can be ordered from SparkFun. The schematics and additional information are also available on that site.

The previous version was called the ScratchBoard and has the same components and is compatible.

The Connecting to the Physical World forum is a place dedicated for discussions about the PicoBoard and other real world Scratch sensors.

I'm Pretty sure that you use a PicoBoard to make like a controller for a game so like for example:

when Button Pressed
move (10) steps

Or Something Like that
It looks different in the extentions thing

A picoboard is a bare controller that allows you to control scratch using motion, 4 buttons and a slider. I have no long way to explain what a picoboard is.

a picoboard was a red device by sparkfun that let you interact with scratch through sound, sliding, clicking, shining a light
it originally came in yellow but that connected with a serial port and to be honest who even uses serial ports in 2009
only scratch veterans remember the picoboard
