Hi scratch team I've seen the Scratch 3.0 GUI editor, and so far it's really cool. But the way the blocks are sorted kinda annoys my brain. For now, as you most likely know, the blocks selectors are sorted vertically (sorry i couldn't get a pic- the link isn't working). Just wanna ask if you could keep the scrolling so you can still scroll through the blocks, but have the block categories sorted in (motion, looks, etc…)- like this: (yay pic works!) and you could have the extensions in the ‘more blocks’ category, if there are any questions about that. I know this is an OFFICIAL mockup, but for all I know you guys could be changing it to this or this was made before the idea of having them to the left. Really, please, change it, it will make it seem a bit more organized. (btw i like the mockup pic- it's cool ☻)

I'm not sure why they changed it to a vertical category list, but I think it's to allow a dynamic list for multiple extensions. Scratch 3.0 puts a larger focus on extensions, so they are likely to be used more often, and putting all the extension blocks in the More Blocks category would clutter it up and make it hard to access all the blocks.

That's true, but they could just make a new category for extentions, or add an extentions panel to the ‘scripts, costumes, and sounds panels. But I see went they wouldn’t.

They could also add new categories that only show when you select them in the more blocks section.

you can find the links in the wiki or just search google for ‘Scratch 3.0’ and u'll find it somewhere down there…

I think vertical list was added because of extension support (It makes categories, which we cannot do if we still use that) and tablets support (everything should be larger).

Should atleast have an option to change it to categories (and smaller blocks :P) in file or something.

I don't really see anything wrong with the layout in the current preview. You can still click on a category to skip to that certain category. No support, sorry.
