Mario Kart! (Work In Progress, Feedback Appreciated)
Note
Phosphorus player has weird glitches where the computer player faces the wrong direction, and some graphics (eg. bullet bill) are not shown properly. It is also known that the green shell sometimes bounces off the walls wrongly.
Hey! I'm making a top-down Mario Kart game and wanted to show off my current progress. So far, the base engine has been programmed in with some base graphics and assets. I decided not to share the actual project yet, but you can view it through the phosphorus player and give me feedback through this thread:

You may need to re-enter the code a few times to get it to work, reply below if you need further help
Use WASD or arrow keys to move.
Feedback would be much appreciated! If there are any glitches, oddities with the AI or you want to suggest an addition then please reply to this thread.

CURRENT FEATURES
Initial Release v0.1 - 01/02/2017
- Glorious reconstruction of Mario Circuit from the classic Super Mario Kart (SNES) made by me
- 3D karts and racers from Mario Kart 8, rendered in blender and imported into scratch
- Functional AI (nope not a recorded ghost kart! Try bumping into him ;D)
- Self made physics and collision engine
- Seperate hitboxes for wheels
Update v0.2 - 21/04/2017 to 25/04/2017
- Added time and item on HUD
- Adjusted physics
- Change the camera zoom
- Updated splash screen
- Added some items (but no item boxes yet…)
- Reworked AI
- Now gives you a random item each lap (temporary for testing)
- Added laps
- Added placing
- Some polish
- Other small corrections
Update v0.3 - 16/05/2017
- Red Shell Added
- Countdown Added
PLANNED FEATURES
- Items! Added
- Grand prix mode
- Time trial mode and ghost recordings, possible sharing of ghost recordings via cloud data?
- Possible battle mode?
- Drifting and Turbo-Boosts
- More courses and characters
- Characters play differently from one another, have their own stats
- Graphical effects and polish
- Music and sound effects
