Some people might not easily be able to import their own sound files, or find compatible non-copyrighted music to import into Scratch projects.

Currently, the majority of the music loops in the default Scratch library either sound very electronic to an exaggerated extent, and/or only last for a couple of seconds before repeating.

Could Scratch include more slightly longer music loops (not too many, but at least a few more) that also aren't really beepy and electronic?

Semi-support, it would be great but there is an on-going discussion about copyrighted sounds that come with 3.0

Semi-support as I doubt more songs would be added as the default sounds are… well… default sounds- they give you just the basics. However, I feel a wider range of loops and styles would be really beneficial as I often find myself struggling to find a fitting background music. There should be a wider range of genres, tones and moods- most of the songs right now are chill, happy or intense with no other emotions.

Support. (Scratch 3.0 has more sprites/costumes/backdrops/sounds!)

Support. I hope they add a good amount of tunes to their library that are longer, They do no harm, as they only add space to your project when they're added, so I see no downside with this.

I agree. I takes a long time to upload songs/audio, especially when it's really long.
It would be a lot easier if there was longer music, and more “songs” such as the guitar “songs” instead of sound effects. The sound effects are good 2.

Support. The sound, costume and backdrop library has a lot of them, but new scratchers may need a lot of inspiration when making themes and soundtracks.
