Make scratch projects 720p or 1080p

I havent been on scratch for a while and realized how blurry the projects are. If it is possible can you make scratch projects have a higher resolution for the scratch 3.0?

Would it do something to the projects with the current resolution?

I'd support, but there's probably some reasonable reason why the scratch team have it at such a low resolution. If there isn't, I support 100% because I prefer to use the bitmap editor for art.

Why do you support?

Support! I personally think that the scratch team should increase the quality of the projects

I fully support. Or you could have resolution control.

Support. Who can accept that stone age low resolution graphic!? There're lot of limitation with using vector only to handle a project.Event just a still Background , if you don't want to see those ugly pixel then you got to draw a .svg for it.

Full support, leave all old projects at 360p and have an option to create projects at 720p. This will be useful, as 480x360 is killing me with its limitations for my OS.

A Scratch project is a program, not a video. You can not just turn them 720p. Scratch's stage is 480x360 (your definition of 480p, technically this applies to actual 480p but it's still different from Scratch if you read on), bitmaps are also locked to that, but SVG (vector) is unlimited (if it were YouTube, it would go to 2160p), depending on your display. So technically, Scratch projects have no resolution. They can higher the limit for bitmap images, but if they made the stage bigger that would break everything. There IS no resolution of Scratch. Support for making the limit for bitmap image resolution higher though.

Read the original post. No one ever talked about Stage3D graphical bugs. I understand you probably were on the forums or something and then read “press control+m to make everything not blurry” or something like that, but no, it just disables Stage3D which can remove some graphical bugs (usually not blur), but will slow down older computers.

Old projects are not the OP's definition of 360p. Bitmap sprites and the stage size are 480p.

What do you mean by “blurry”? I haven't really noticed anything about vector being blurry and if bitmap appears blurry it's mainly because it's pixelated.

Actually, I think a system where you could select the bitmap “resolution” when making a project would be more effective- the current pixelated background is useful for pixel art, plus a higher quality one would use more data. Also, you should be able to set a max quality level on your profile so if you're using an old computer you don't lag out on a high quality project.

Actually, the current pixelated bitmap system usually makes pixel art look all distorted and ugly when in full screen mode.

Ah, maybe a different “resolution” of bitmap designed with pixel art in mind then?

It should just use the native resolution (downscaled to fit the stage) of the display, that should fix all issues. For pixel art to be distorted in full screen like it is now, someone would have to be using an extremely old display, a lower-end notebook laptop, or a computer running the operating system's fail-safe mode. But if they are using one of those they probably have better stuff to do

Exactly! I noticed something was off about it before. I don't tend to use bitmap as much anymore but you're right, it gets distorted and I don't see why this should be the case because it's exactly the same aspect ratio as small screen.

You just necroposted
Before anyone says that necroposting does not exist in the forums, this post is rather unconstructive
Oh, you don't know what necroposting means?
A necropost is a post on an “old, abandoned thread that has been considered ‘dead’ for a while…that no longer serves any purpose but is bumped back up to the top of the forums by someone posting in it.” Necroposting is seen as a form of spam and clogs up the forums with old and unneeded topics.
