Transparent colour

My idea is that another colour could be introduce when making sprites which would appear in the sprite editor as maybe a glassy colour? but in the actual game/project it would be invisible, but there, meaning you could create things like hit boxes and games could benefit a lot from this.

Do you mean
change [ghost v] effect by (--) // at 100% this effect makes the sprite invisible

No, it would be a colour in the paint editor.

That said, it is possible to get a 99% ghosted colour using just the paint editor but it isn't easy, and it is probably still visible against certain backgrounds. The best way to do what the OP is trying to do is to have a separate costume or sprite for the hitbox.

Not the same thing. This is asking for a completely invisible colour that still triggers touching tests, and that is asking for semitransparent colours.

For hitboxes you can just create a costume that has the hitbox, switch to it at the start of the script, do whatever needs the hitbox then switch back at the end.
This feels really specific and doesn't seem like it'd actually be all that useful.

And all the world over, each nation's the same,
They've simply no notion of playing the game.
They argue with umpires, they cheer when they've won,
And they practice beforehand, which ruins the fun!

I don't get it. Don't we already have a transparency color?

I can't undertand at all. What are you trying to say?

You could always just get the little white square with the red line through it and and another color, do a gradient, and there you go! Specific areas of the sprite are transparent.

The normal transparent colour isn't detected by the
<touching [ v] ?>
block, but this suggestion would be.

To be honest I don't really think this would be useful enough to be worth adding, since the workarounds are fairly easy and give you more control.
