And it would get annoying if you owned a sticky–have you seen the amount of times the Rejections Sticky was quoted?
So, how about, people only quote you if they quoted you in a discussion that you're following?

If this was added,

1) would this only apply if the quote button underneath someone's post was clicked? Or would it apply every time, even if someone manually typed a quote tag?

2) I can easily see this happening every time a famous Scratcher posts in the forums:
