Why does the ST not allow Browser Extenstions/Userscripts Policy protests?

Which has a small chance of happening, but it's the Scratch Team's site, so they can do what they want I don't care

They changed the rule, and it's their choice, so why would they allow people to protest against it?

I agree. There's no need to rush to close a thread as soon as it gets an even mildly satisfactory answer. I can understand some of the potential problems, like many users jumping in to give the same exact answer, but let's at least wait for the owner to respond.

I wouldn’t call it stupid just dangerous or unsafe

The St is worried because, they might be some harmful thing running int he code, stealing information like credit cards, vbank numbers, or etc from your coumpter/browser. To stay safe, The st banned this, no no one information et leaked or so.

You would need some clever programming work (it's JavaScript, intended for the web, it can't just take control of your PC) and good, dialogue boxes (like something the Scratch Team would say) to trick the user (most users know to not click anyway), as that would require a program to be downloaded, and even then it would be hard to do. So that's pretty much impossible.
I remember once a user got a message saying “Scratch and MIT would like to give you a survey” or something like that which took personal info, but that was caused by adware and spyware, not a userscript.

Many users have made, many awesome userscripts and exstentions that have enhanced my use of Scratch, which is why I think if the Scratch Team wants to avoid this, they could require people to register there exstentions and userscripts and make the scripts used to make it, availible to be viewed by the Scratch Team. As for protests, I think that Scratchers have a right to protest, as the reasons for protests is to protest a decision that they don't agree with, which in this case is the Scratch Teams decision on usercsripts and exstentions. Stopping people from protesting simply because the Scratch Team has already decided the fate of userscripts and exstentions on Scratch, isn't ok because many people feel the Scratch Team should allow them, and there protesting because they want to see them allowed on Scratch despite the Scratch Teams decision. If they agreed with the decision, there'd be no need to protest, but if the Scratch Team wants no protest, they could tell these people they are never going to change there decision, no matter how much Scratchers protest, rather then banning there protests, as some Scratchers in the protests feel there is still a chance the Scratch Team might change there decision, which is why there still persisting in there protests.
