There are many guides on scratch….
And they should be there…
But they move forum like they are playing pass the parcel!

There should be a forum under about Scratch that has guides

A lot of guides are forum specific, though, so moving them into a different forum might get a bit more confusing.

If they are for a specific forum, they should stay there

I'm not sure… a whole forum dedicated to guides?
Would guides be made there or moved there?

Then what's the point to this suggestion?

To have things like ‘How to change your thumbnail’ ‘making signatures’ and ‘make your own forum emojis’

Honestly, I dunno what I think about this suggestion. While it seems useful, at the same time it could end up making things a lot more disorganized.

For example, if this forum was created, you'd see something like this:

The topics wrote:

How to make a great thumbnail! ~ a guide

How to create a sticky

How to properly advertise your project

How to do side scrolling

It could end up becoming sort of a disorganized miscellaneous forum.

Or COMPLETELY worthless “guides”:
How to follow Random-user

How to like Random-user2's project

How to favorite Random-user3's project

That would be reported as advertising and a useless guide

We have the Wiki. No support.

Full support. Because the wiki can get hard to understand, although it teaches you how to do the thing you want to do. It doesn't teach you how to debugging for scripts. Most people don't want a full on guide that's too long and too much detail on how to make something. They want help with debugging and for it to be simplified for them. And I have seen 2 people try to teach people bugs that they learnt to debug and they were told that it wasn't the right post for them.

Basically I'm saying we would have a place where you could say not a big how to, but like how to fix this bug. (Sorry for bad explanation.)

Any guide should be made to be specific to one forum, and the guide should stay in that forum.

Where does a signature making guide go then? It needs making but doesn't have a forum

No - it was an example and based on another forum topic

I don't think that's what Batcho_Otkho meant…
I think (correct me if I'm wrong) they're linking to the wiki article to make a point about how the miscellaneous topics could be/are wiki articles, and therefore don't need a separate forum topic when we have the wiki.

You got the point.
