Here's a little bit of MK trivia: The only player (i.e. non-CPU) exclusive item, up until the release of MK8 Deluxe, was the Triple Red Shell. I honestly never knew that, but I guess it makes sense.

Do you mean little explanation as to why they added it? If so, then yes. I have that DLC for Mario Kart 8, but for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it comes with the game. (Not much doesn't come with that game, honestly.)

Embarrassing secret; I don't have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because we already have Mario Kart 8 and Dad thinks I'm just fine with that.

For me, while getting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe means having all the fun of Mario Kart 8 on the Switch, it also means that I have to get my rating back that I had on Mario Kart 8. My rating there is over 8,500, while on the Switch it's only about 3,000. I've decided that I'd rather be playing Mario Kart 8 than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because my rating is higher there. I do also have Mario Kart 7, but that seems like a different story.

My brother has almost never wanted to play, but he's been playing mostly on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with me. He likes to play Battle in that game because there are many more modes. In Mario Kart 8, we've only ever played Versus, and his rating is exactly 777.

Introducing KartFest! It's like Splatoon's Splat Fests but in Mario Kart, and not monthly, but hopefully weekly. How it works: I will set up an arena that lasts from 8:00 P.M. Saturday to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, like a Splatfest. I will post the winner in the thread. The first one is up this weekend. Code: 0183-7959-9403. The theme is Cake VS Ice Cream. I hope you have fun!

It is in Mario Kart 8 and not Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, right? And what time zone is it?

I want to do this, but I don't think there will be enough people joining. Maybe if you added computer players, but it still wouldn't work unless there are at least two people in one room.

Mario Kart 8, besides occasionally Splatoon, is the only game I play on my Wii U. But yesterday, my family changed our Wi-Fi password yesterday. The problem with that is that the screen on our GamePad is broken, so we can't see what we're entering, which means that we can't reconnect to the Wi-Fi network until we fix the screen. That means I can't play Mario Kart 8 online anymore, and I was almost at a rating of 10,000.

its been 8 years since the user made the post. i highly doubt they would change it as they probably left scratch (like normal adults) and besides this is for MK8 not MK8D
