Translating Scratch into Filipino Tagalog

I am interested with translating my Scratch Projects into Filipino Tagalog. The Scratch Program online isn't letting me do this. What should I do?

You can help translate the Scratch programming language: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/5155/

There is no translation project for Tagalog yet, so you'll have to request a new language first.

Whom do I go to for requesting a new language?

First you'll need to get an account on Transifex.

Then visit https://www.transifex.com/llk/public/ - there should be a button or link on that page to join the team/request a language once you're logged in.

Try https://www.transifex.com/llk/scratch-legacy/dashboard/ and scroll to the bottom. There is a “Request a language” button on the right. I don't know if you can see this without being a team member though.

If you can't figure it out, you can contact Chris https://www.transifex.com/user/profile/chrisg/

Yes, I went to the link. It did not work.

I have sent a message to Chris, I hope that she'll find some time soon to help you.

Do you already have a Transfex account? If so, what's your username?

@GunChleoc, thanks for the head's up.

@thekyledeauna Currently we have Filipino (language code ‘fil’) in the Scratch projects, but the translation is very incomplete, so it is not included in the Scratch menu.

The easiest way to get started is to visit one of the Scratch team's project pages on transifex, for example the website: https://www.transifex.com/llk/scratch-website/
Then click the `Help to translate…` button to sign up. Make sure you include Filipino as one of the languages you speak.
