hello people
i was wondering if there could be a user search option in scratch because when you search a user, if the user is famous a lot of the projects you see won't be by the person you're looking for, so maybe if you do a user search it searches usernames
EDIT: a lot of people are saying you can do a custom search or a direct link, but wouldn't it be easier if it was built in? This post is mostly about convinience.

You could use the Custom google search, but I don't know where to find the link…Google Advanced Search https://www.google.com/advanced_search
With “scratch.mit.edu/users” entered under “site/domain”.

You can use a search engine (like Google, DuckDuckGo, etc) and include site:scratch.mit.edu/users in the search query.

@OP: They originally had this, but it was removed when they changed the search engine because users in China were having trouble using it. There's a few simple workarounds, though: you could type
site:scratch.mit.edu/users YOUR SEARCH TERM HERE
scratch.mit.edu/users/USER-THAT-YOUR-SEARCHING-FOR

I would support, but if you search someone's username, then all of their projects show up. So I wouldn't see this as much of an issue unless the user doesn't have any projects. And if they don't, how would you even know they existed? But if you really wanted to view a user with no projects, then you obviously have some affiliation with them in real life. So you could probably just to scratch.mit.edu/users/theuseryouwanttofindhere

But that searches for the name and the name is in the title so it just shows loads of highlights of the name.CTRL + F or F3.No support, since when you search for an user in the Search bar,you find all its project. Semi-support, since I can see how this would be useful, but there are already workarounds.scratch.mit.edu/users/USER-THAT-YOUR-SEARCHING-FOR

I see a lot of you are suggesting to use a custom site search or a direct link, but it would be easier for it to be built in.
