Have you ever seen a signature that just- makes you want to check something out? Have you ever seen a signature so advanced that you could only dream of making one so good? You're in the right place!

What do you want it to look like?:
First you have to choose what you want to put in your signature! Do you want to have one big picture with your logo in the center or do you want an evil kumquat protector? This is one of the most important steps. While it is easier to fit lots of stuff with text, it doesn't look as eye-catching and doesn't make people want to check things out as much. At the opposite end you can have a futuristic banner with your logo in the center and not much else. This doesn't fit much information but it is very eye-catching. There are also the option of a high-tech signature that uses PHP or you can have a multi-link image signature (very hard to make). I normally find image signatures more appealing, and you can always include text in them. Always remember that the max height of a signature is 150 pixels!

Where will you get it?
There are many options on how to get it. First and foremost you could make one yourself with your current knowledge. While this is great fun, you don't learn as much. You could also try to learn how to make one well. I recommend using high-quality tools like inkscape and canva to make your signature look appealing. If you need help just ask for it! There are many scratchers out there who will be happy to teach you a few basics. The final option is to get one in the requests forum. This place looks confronting with all of the fancy titles and ‘Shop’ labels, but you will get used to it. There are two ways you can do this; you can either create a new topic and ask for it or you can go to a shop and get it. For more information look in the stickies of the requests forum. If you do this be sure to specify exactly what you want it to look like.

Now that I have it, what can I do?:
Don't know how to set it as your signature? Don't worry, that is completely normal. When you scroll down to the bottom you will see lots of text. and a few buttons. On the left hand side there is a little blue bit of text saying ‘Change your signature’. Click this.

It will then look like you're making a post.

Enter all of the things you would like to add. Keep in mind that there is a height limit to the signatures. Images will automatically shrink appropriately, but be sure to not leave an enter in between images, as that will cause the second image to be cut off. Make sure it looks professional. Don't forget to link it to your games, animations, profile and basically anything you like. Be sure to register here if you would like to include links to non-scratch sites.

Now you're finished!
It's always important to look for ways to improve it based on what you see! If you release an amazing new project be sure to add it to your signature! Ask for feedback from other scratchers (make sure you do so in the right places)! If you have any friends help them to make a better signature! Always remember: a signature is not set and forget. People will get bored if your signature stays the same. Some scratchers even update their signatures every week!

I will update this information to include guides on how to make a good text siggy and how to make a funny siggy. I may also add a quote siggy guide.

I know, i have had my siggy for many many months, but what do you think- eye grabbing?

But anyway, your topic is quite good. I think you should split up the “chapters” with smaller paragraphs for readability- keeps things tidy and sorted.

Finally, quite important- I noticed this page is really slow to load conpared to others. Has someone used a really high quality image, causing slow loading?

Nope- that’s my siggy. I’m working on reducing it’s file size. Currently it’s like a megabyte
