I was more worried than angry when I saw the new style. It's so flat… so unfamiliar! I'll have to mentally re-learn what each block looks like! I don't like the flat, unshaded style at all, it's too bright for me

when new style announced :: eventsI hope this doesn't look like blockspam. It would be much easier to blockspam with the new padded blocks
explain how [the new style] is [too flat] :: sensing
unlike (the old style) which is <<shaded::looks> and <looks much [nicer v] :: sound>> :: list
repeat until <not<(the new style) = <Scratch 3.0's final design:: list>>>
check the [Scratch 3.0 v] demo ::operators
pout to [myself v] :: motion
wait (10) secs
end
think [they actually changed it??]
be [thankful v] :: motion

No Support. You are saying that we should change something and keep something old looking forever. You never mentioned it was optional. The layout fits with 3.0, and it will stay like that.

Well, I'm fine with the bright colors. I like the brightness.Ouch, R.I.P. eyes.I think that the text input box borders should either acquire a darker version of the block it is is, or have a much darker grey, as it is currently hard to look at.A darker version of the block would be best, I just couldn't work out how to do it.
I also posted this on the colourblindness topic, it has more contrast than default:
You see, the contrast is good for colourblind people (I guess), but for me the contrast is too great and the colours are too bright, making my eyes hurt.

Seriously though, the blocks need to be changed because they look too bubbly and childish and are very space-consuming.
Edit: I don't really see why just because it's Scratch 3.0, the blocks need to be changed drastically.

The reason why the blocks are so big is so that coding will be easier on mobile. I have no problem with these blocks, I rather prefer them to the 2.0 blocks.

I agree with you 100%. Personally, I think instead of making all the blocks ridiculously big, they should add an option to toggle big blocks (for people on mobile) and smaller blocks (for computer-users).

I'm not going to read through seven pages of posts, but I personally think that this should be a toggleable option. Current block size is stupid and absurd, not to mention unshaded and generally ugly.
Benefitting a small majority of Scratch that doesn't even exist yet is not a justified reason to make block padding so ridiculously large.

Yeah, these blocks are way too puffed for me. Should just have an option in the menu to switch between 2.0 blocks and new blocks.

It should definitely have a toggling option. Big default for mobile and small for PC
It's supposed to be accessible to kids but that doesn't mean we should make them big and babyish to cater to toddlers or insult their intelligence though…

I dunno if I have already posted there,but I have to support for a toggling option. While I can see how this would be useful for new scratchers and mobile users,it would be really big for some computer users.

Not sure if I've already posted here or not, but whatever.
I think there should be a way to switch between large, chunky blocks for mobile users and smaller, slimmer blocks (like the ones in 2.0) for computer users. Maybe if it could be toggled between the two depending on the device, or the user could do so manually?
