As long as you don't share it it's your property and you can do whatever you want like sell the file but there will never be payed stuff on the Scratch site.

You could add fake currency in your project to make it look like you're really paying people money, Although I kinda don't recommend that either…

Either way, REAL money in projects is a big fat nope!

No support. This'll ruin a WHOLE lot of things. First, it goes against the educational part of Scratch. Second, what if someone makes a really cool thumbnail but the project itself is not good or even blank? Last, Scratch isn't a really good programming language to use to get money. Make one in one of these:

Javascript
C#
C++
Unity Game Engine
etc.

Scratch is NOT about making money, it's about having FUN and LEARNING how to program. Sorry But NO Support!

meh scratch needs to be free. obviously you can take it down from scratch and sell it another way, but i don't know how good an idea that is

If you want to sell your Scratch games, you have the right to do so – but not once they have been posted on the Scratch site. Our arrangement is that everything that is shared to the site is available to everybody for free. That's to help with the educational nature of Scratch - which is our prime mission. So thanks for your suggestion, but we aren't going to move forward with it at this time
