They might think it's personal info.
If you still want to display it, ask them in Contact Us to let you display it.

Probably about not sharing personal information. Does a Nintendo Switch friend code give away your email address or name? If so, it breaks the CG.

You can contact the ST about it using Contact Us (link in above post).

I didn't know Switches had friend codes, I'll have to see what mine is

Anyway it was, as stated above, probably removed for personal info reasons, but I don't remember friend codes really showing personal information. I guess you could see someone else's name, but that's really not that bad. I don't remember, can you see the area where another person lives (country, state/ province)

No you can't see where they live

So it's probably either for names or because the ST thinks it displays more information than it does

I'm willing to bet they just aren't sure what it reveals or how the friending system on switch works (a better safe than sorry issue). Probably best to ask a moderator about it.

If anyone really wants to know the kind of information it shows, it only shows:
- Your username
- Your profile picture you chose from a list of Nintendo characters
- The amount of time you've played on games and which games you've played

Even then, all online interactions can also be changed via Parental Controls if a parent were to not want users playing together.
Voice chat is only in the Splatoon 2 game at the moment.

There's no personal information shown or anything like that. It's quite strange that it would be removed from Scratch.

And the voice chat requires downloading a sperate app on a smarphone device, and can only be used via a smartphone, so no voice chat interactions happen through the Nintendo Switch itself, except for the users your chatting with, that your playing with in game.

I use Scratch on a 2022 M2 Macbook Air that is running the last version of macOS Ventura, and the Google Chrome web broswer. I also occasionally use the Scratch offline editor.

Anyways, they're correct.
You have to either wait 24 hours OR until this topic is on the Second Page, whichever comes first.
Not doing so is known as spam-bumping, and is frowned upon.
And like the name suggests, it's also spam.

Most of these “answers” are assuming things about Nintendo Switch's online service without background knowledge on the subject. There have been no clear answers for this question aside from “the ST might think it does this”. In fact, I think more of the posts are either bumps or people asking questions about the service provided rather than answers.
