I have represented my year at school twice; one time, before I started Scratch, I had been voted in over about half my class.

I am python_megapixel, and I would like to explain my values and plans for this election. Me, my deputy and my secretary all have experience in shop ownership. When I reviewed the shops of my Deputy and Secretary, both received extremely close to full marks.

First of all is the most important point. I believe that the SPA should be totally inclusive. I believe that the only way newer Scratchers can get a foothold in the community is if they can participate in the same things that everyone else can. That means no restrictions on countries, ranks, number of posts, number of followers or anything else. The only restriction that would be needed is whether they have a shop that meets the speed and quality requirements. And since we already provide free reviews, it would be easy for them to get to this stage.

But it's not just keeping our existing values. I also plan to introduce an advertising network where Scratchers can elect to show ads in their forum signature in return for benefits, for example, feedback on their projects. Another plan is profile comment notifications (yes, I'll be keeping my profile comments open) for important things, so members can get the information they need, more quickly. And I'll respond to questions via comments too.

I also aim to keep the SPA active by inviting new shops to join regularly and organizing collaborations between shops, enriching what member shops can offer and presenting the SPA as an active, open organisation.

I hope I have persuaded you to consider voting for me in the upcoming election.

I feel that it is important not to put anyone under too much pressure, which means not constantly bombarding people with activity checks. Every 2-3 days I will use the forum post timestamps to check if orders are being responded to in a timely manner. If not, I will post an activity check on the shop's forum thread. General activity checks for all members will be released randomly via profile comments at intervals of 1-3 weeks.

I would do my best to find a co-president to help with the process of inviting shops and managing the SPA. In the meantime I would keep operating the SPA to the best of my ability including inviting new shops and enforcing laws. Although during the transition period it would be less active than usual, I would not allow the project to be completely abandoned.

[b]How strict will you be on members?[/b]
I will be as strict as is needed to keep the SPA organised. Nobody would be kicked out of the SPA for their first violation of the Laws (especially if they didn't know the law existed), although they would recieve a warning on their profile. However, for time-limited things, such as referendums, punctuality would be expected, as it's not practical to hold up the entire SPA to wait for a latecomer to vote. 


[b]What will be your first law to propose as president?[/b]
I would propose that shops must survey their recent customers at least every 6 months and report their findings to the SPA. This would be a useful statistic for the SPA to have in order to check that shops are performing well.

I have devised a voting system for representatives of shops to vote whereby every representative gets a unique voter number. As forum posts can become cluttered, I would notify people on their profile for anything likely to affect them. For example, if they are running for an election, I would notify them of deadline for their speeches and logos, but I would not give them overdue warnings for other people. I would also notify people for any collaborations that are organised for all shops. People will of course be permitted to opt out of profile notifications if they wish.

It is in my interest to make the SPA an organisation that is easy to be part of but that also delivers many great benenfits. For example, I would like to expand advertising opportunites for the SPA and organise further collaborations between member shops. Additionally, for me, equality and inclusivity are paramount in any situation, including on the internet, so there will be no restrictions except service quality of shops for new Scratchers to join. [u] Another exciting prospect is a 'fit and forget' partnerships list where a single file is updated every time a shop joins, meaning you don't have to worry about updating the partnerships list.[/u]

Around 2 hours/day of actually doing stuff on Scratch. Managing the SPA & my shop as well as coding new projects.

I have offered to review all members as part of the SPA membership benefits, which will go on to improve the quality of applications. I am also helping the SPA get more members by offering membership for free with shop review orders.

The Shop Partnership Association (SPA) is an organisation which shops which provide a quality, fast service can join in return for many great benefits, including feedback and partnerships with other great shops.

I like the way that it helps shops to grow and that it takes into account smaller shops as well as the larger ones, helping the Scratch community to thrive and grow.

On Scratch I run the Shop Review Shop which was invited to the SPA because it was fast and efficient. In the real world I have led groups including a school council and multiple projects representing my school.

3.1: We pride ourselves in our association, please don’t by any means try to ruin our reputation
3.2: You must complete all decisions without any bias
3.3: You must complete decision quickly and decisively
3.3.1: You must not be inactive for longer than a week without approval. 
3.3.2: You must appoint an unbiased replacement if you are going to be away
3.3.3: The Illuminati law says that no excuses will be accepted for unexpected inactivity. You can regain your position later on though.
3.4: You must tell us of any affiliations with shops and/or federations to make sure we have an unbiased court
3.4.1: You can have some affiliations but must confirm them and demonstrate that you will not have a bias towards them
[b][i]Section 4: Remaining unbiased decisions during lawsuits[/i][/b]
4.1: You can not try to influence a decision made by a judge unless you are the one that has been taken to court.
4.1.1: If you are caught trying to influence them (profile comments etc.) then you will be immediately fired
4.1.2: Judges must immediately report any efforts to influence their decision that are not from people being charged
4.2: All decisions are final. They can be challenged after one week, but only if further evidence against is found.
4.2.1: Further evidence must be something that realistically has a chance of changing the decision
4.2.2: If judges are removed and/or added then all challenge waiting times are reset to 0
4.3: To make it easier during decisions new people joining will be told to wait
4.3.1: Any previous additions will be completely added beforehand

[b][i]Section 6: Presidential controls[/i][/b]
6.1: On the 1st of March I hosted an official presidential election. This winner (poppybunny) runs most business and imposes most laws.
6.1.1: Elections shall be held every quarter (3 months) from then on.
6.1.2: Presidents can call elections up to 2 months early if they think that it will benefit themselves, although they can be taken to court for excessively calling election
6.2: This person must first propose any new laws/ law changes
6.3: They must appoint a secretary and Vice President
6.4: If an action by a president is deemed unfair any members can take them to court.
6.4.1: If this action occurs a house vote will occur instantaneously.
6.4.2: If this is voted for by 2/3 or more of representatives a royal comission will be officially opened by me
6.4.3: This official royal commission will include extensive questioning and research by all judges, plus 4 guest judges appointed by other judges.
6.4.4: If this royal commission results in the finding of things that break the community guidelines the Scratch Team will immediately be contacted and the president shall be repealed of all positions.
6.4.5: If the royal commission results in the finding of behavior that breaks our rules but not the ST's rules then they will be removed from their position immediately
6.4.6: If the royal commision results in no finding the president will be given an additional 3 months in office.
6.5: If a president is removed or resigns they will be replaced by their deputy.
6.5.1: The secretary will also become the Vice President and the new Secretary will be appointed by the new president
6.6: The secretary can fire and add members freely (within reason), while the Vice President cannot
[b][i]Section 7: Mental Support and Holidays[/i][/b]
7.1: Holidays can be taken for as long as that person likes
7.1.1: If that person is president their deputy should assume charge and run the association while the president is away.
7.1.2: If I am away I will link to a temporary new front page made by the president with up-to date information
7.1.3: All other member do not need to worry about being away, they just must contact us.
7.2: If you feel mentally ill in any way you should feel safe to contact us on the matter
7.2.1: We will help you out and support you in any matter possible.
7.2.2: You will immediately be given leave if you feel in any way mentally ill. 
7.2.3: After this leave you will be given back your position
[b][i]Section 8: Law Propositions[/i][/b]
8.1: The president can propose laws at any time other than within 2 weeks of an election
8.2: Laws must be proposed in a formal manner.
8.2.1: By 'formal' we mean that it must be presented in a similar manner to this, with the correct sections and parts of sections.
8.2.2: Joking around may seem fun, but all propositions and parts of propositions WILL be taken literally.
8.3: It must go through all 3 stages and win.
8.3.1: The first stage is approval by the house. It must get at least 50% of the vote.
8.3.2: The second stage is approval by the Head Department
8.3.2.1: The head department consists of the Owner, President, Vice President
8.3.3: The third stage is judge approval
8.3.3.1: The judges will only overturn things if they are extremely unlawful
8.4: All laws will be initiated immediately after voted in
8.4.1: Any members breaking new laws as they are passed will not be acted upon
8.4.2: They have a responsibility, though, to fix themselves up as quickly as possible.

9.1 People in new jobs will be able to vote. 
9:1.1 If a person is in multiple new jobs then they will still only get one additional vote. 
9.1.1.1 If a person is in one or more new jobs and is a shop representative and/or a judge then they get a vote for each of the shop/s they are a representative of and one vote for all of their new job/s.
9.2 New jobs candidates will be required to fill in a form. 
9.3 New jobs are following:
9.3.1 Artist Designer. 
9.3.1.1 An Artist Designer helps by making banners for member shops that need them.  
9.3.2 Formatter. 
9.3.2.1 A Formatter helps member shops; and the SPA with BBcode. 
9.3.3 Order Helper. 
9.3.3.1 An Order Helper helps struggling shops with their orders. 
9.3.4 Slogan Writer
9.3.4.1 A Slogan Writer writes slogans for the SPA, the member shops and representatives that would like them.  [/i]
[b][i]Section 10: New Shop Nurturing Program (NSNP)[/i][/b]
10.1: hellounicorns2 will design ~10 shop ideas. 
10.1.1: each of these ideas will be fitted with a good description, banner and name.
10.1.2: all material relating to them will be watermarked to prevent unauthorised use.
10.2: anybody can ask to use one of them
10.2.1: they will be given one with a smaller watermark below stating that ‘This Shop Is Half-Owned By The SPA’
10.2.2: they will be half-owned by the SPA (as stated in the watermark)
10.2.3: we will gradually allow them more independence
10.2.4: every week they will be reviewed by the Shop Review Shop
10.2.5: if they are successful in reaching a score of 18 at the Shop Review Shop they will be given one last week with half-ownership by us
10.2.6: after this they will become a normal shop, and will remain a normal member of the SPA
10.3: we don’t become members if their shop, they start out as sole worker
10.4: they must credit us for their banner and shop idea
10.5: the shop ideas page will be listed on a seperate page to the main page to prevent slower loading times due to large banners

Hello, I'm AFNNetworkK12.
I am a nice, peaceful, and modern person. I am running for president of the SPA because it seems like the SPA is not keeping up with the evolution of the requests forum. I would like to bring pride, awesomeness, peace, and evolution. Look, now there are now “currencies” and “companies”. I would like to make SPA more currency and company friendly. I don't want fights. I want pride. I want to provide more services to shops, I want to keep up with the big stuff. I promise to make SPA more modern by making SPA more friendly to currencies, companies, and whatever's coming next. I know the name is “Shop Partnership Association”, but it is our time to change. Providing formatting, tips, and working with the shops more often, I know what's best. I've worked in a whole lot of shops and currencies, mostly in a high position. Finding that there are things other then shops, I want SPA to be a stronger community, with pride no matter what. Everything can reach new heights. That means you, it's your choice. I have ideas for the SPA to be more inspiring, great, and casual. I don't want fights to go on. I want peace, and we would help the shop no matter the size, quality, and speed. It's a strong idea, so support it. It's like a growing seed. It starts small, then it grows into an adult. That is the point of the SPA. To grow your shop. I would give a nice, not mean response to votes. Offering a helping hand is great, but being on their journey, that's the best. 

I mean, we could be together, the main point of the SPA is to be partners. Not just partners of organizations, but partners of a community that stands. A thriving community. Not a dead community, A community, where we could connect. A key to partnerships is to work together and be kind to each other. I would also add to the community: A help area. So you could talk it out with other shop owners, and they could give you advice. I would make the SPA a community, by the community and everyone who has posted on this thread. It's not about fame or our pages, it's about our connection. You matter to me. Everyone should have a chance, even shops that are dead. No one is left out, or the SPA would just be a partnership organization. You add more to the community, you get more. We built up for a long time. Now let's improve it!

I would pick a VP and Secretary that would be trusted, kind and not mean, experienced, and a person that inspires me of a peaceful, modern, and awesome thing. I would like to talk to them a lot and share my ideas with them, I would give a lot of chances for them to handle something. I feel like everyone should have a chance, so I will give them a chance based on my power. I will give them a choice. To be mean or nice. I don't care. They help out with everything. They are only okay, so I could give the average person a chance.

I ran for president because I am inspired inside of me, to have a great journey, and to help each other. Another promise would be to turn the SPA to a community, a strong community. It could keep growing no matter what. It's your choice, not my choice. It is the best thing. I am also very active. I spend at least 12 hours on scratch a week, so I could just keep supervising. I would also make more tech, for example, I could make an election vote online. I know you like to do it here, but you can change. Like I could change into a strong member of the SPA.

I would do a lot of changes to the SPA. For example, making a law about spam. I don't know what comes next, but it's a surprise on this journey. It can be down, or up. I don't care what can happen, it is just that the SPA is an adult, and finding it is kind of not modern, I would introduce some new concepts for voting on laws, making the SPA currency friendly, and more. I could decide. But I would leave it to you. Not me. you. I would hold a vote instead of doing it by myself. I hope I can succeed in this journey.

Well, the community has been lowering, because the community is not better, it has to be great, but it has no chance to be great. People have quit the SPA due to it not being fun. I would make the SPA more fun to provide more members, more quality, and suggest new jobs, so everyone has a chance. We can help everyone, be more active, and create more community-based events and things. Leave it to me, it could die or rise. You will never know, so rise and rise and you can reach that awesome and good summit.

In the end, you could become a star, so if you want the right to choose, be modern, and think good, vote for me, because the community is growing, so you have to grow. Make a stronger commitment. If you want peace, you want casual, and you want awesome, vote for me. I could bring some or all these things, but it is up to you to make it. I want peace. not violence. It is inspiring as the community (YOU!) have helped me. So if you want a good person, vote for me.

I would add community events, and people would be able to get slots where they can have their own space, and maybe have a branch of the SPA to help with shops and currencies, also making it like more friendly, making something called SRP (Shop Reporting Program), It would report your orders, progress, and see your downsides, it would be a weekly report, along with adding a new "Community Friendly" program. We could talk, have fun, and do anything during that time. I would make it seem cool and friendly, and easy. Not scary, frustrating, and hard. It seems like we should have peace, not complications. It could get harder, so we could maintain more, I would also give everyone a chance (also mentioned in my speech). We could make "Connect Monday", where we could share ideas, and make the SPA cooler and awesome, if the majority of people like it, we could have a vote on it. It seems cool.

[b]How will you run the NSNP (if at all)?[/b]
I will run it by making it more friendly, and cool. It seems like that we revolve around the community, so I would make it somewhat volunteer based, so everyone has a chance. We could make the SRP (see question above) a branch of the NSNP to report progress, and it seems like we could make it cooler and evolve. The NSNP would be friendly and we would cooperate about 30 minutes every day, we would never know, but we could find that if we work together as a community.

[b]How will you incorporate governments and currencies into the SPA?[/b]
I would make it more friendlier, by making the NSNP available to currencies, and because I'm a currency guy, I would make a few deals, and we could calculate the inflation rates and see if it is fine. I wouldn't incorporate governments inside of the SPA because most of those threads are dead. We could also make it available to more shop organizations, but it could be real challenge when we come to that. I could make it more friendlier in some time in about 3 weeks or so.

I would introduce advertising, make it look cool, friendly, and add activity checks to members of the SPA so we could get a few messages, we could require the SPA to be followed. Make it more fun. We could hold community events to make it look cool, and shops that are not members of the SPA could be sponsors and just post a message saying it is sponsoring the SPA, making it a bit more popular. We could partner with the big shops, because we are big.

On top of them, I have more ventures to suggest to the community about including work experience inside our shops so scratchers can learn the inside workings of shops with support from other staff before joining or making their own. Another is a help hub, a friendly safe where SPA members can ask their peers for advice and support, which would be run by our community. I will also add a new, more supportive and friendly ethos to SPA, helping it seem less daunting and scary to new members. As well as them, I propose SPA bumps for shops to help boost their activity. As with everything I do, I am open to suggestions and opinions on these.[/color]

[color=ff9933]I would definitely run NSNP because I think it is a wonderful, unique part of SPA. I would put more of an emphasis on it and make it more well-known. I think that it should be a part of SPA with more community involvement such as using our banner, design and bb-code shops to fully or partially supply their front pages and using our combined knowledge to support the shops in becoming successful. This would be vital as I intend to help this become a popular part of SPA and it is such a large task for one person.[/color]

[color=ff9933]As I'm not a particularly big supporter of currencies, I would gather community opinions with this. Although I'm not fully sure on whether I believe currencies and governments as members would benefit SPA, I think that we should definitely give advice to shops regarding these things.[/color]
