it's really glitchy and I don't like using it
I only use it so I can swaggily run lxde on windows (for some reason nothing else works)

Notepad automatically uses your favorite color scheme. In Windows, color schemes can be customized if you use High Contrast in Windows.

Notepad++ is great for most things on windows. When I'm on my Debian machine I use nano with a custom .nanorc file.

Eclipse for Java

PyCharm for python

and Quarkedit for online text editing!

I mostly just use GNU Emacs except I occasionally use Notepad or vim, if it's easier…
