Ban political projects and forum posts

I think all political things (e.g. Trump) should be banned on Scratch. Me and my family don't like Trump and it's annoying to see so many pro-Trump comments.

I don't see many pro-Trump comments. But I agree with banning Trump from Scratch. He is a bad human being.

Regardless of my political opinion, I believe it's important for people to be able to (respectfully) share theirs. If you see a comment you don't like, just ignore it.

Also, are we talking about politics in general, like all over the world? Or do you just mean American politics. And banning all political projects doesn't necessarily have to mean present day ones. If you ban all politics, then students can't make projects on past or future presidents or other officials for their school if they are afraid of being banned.

I think it comes down to if you see something you don't like, fine. Just go on your way and let that person do what they want. If someone is harassing you about it, or saying things that are inappropriate, then you should click report.

No, because I think that respectfully expressing your opinions is fine. If you see something too extreme, report it. I don't think that all politics should be banned - obviously, any pro-Nazi project should be removed, but a project saying “I support Trump/Hillary!” is probably fine as long as it's respectful.

What's about the Nazi party?

People should be allowed to talk about that because it was something that happened in history. If users are joking about it or talking about it in ways that are not appropriate, that's what shouldn't be allowed.

Political talk should be ok as long it does not intentionally insult others, i.e. you should be able to hold a peaceful debate, or simply state your opinion and move on. No support from me

I don't like trump at all. But I think we shouldn't be censoring peoples opinions. Like if your saying “I hate (insert race/religion/*/ethnicity/ MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!! #TRUMP #BUILDTHEWALL #LOCKHERUP #FAKENEWS” then you should be banned. There are lots of crazy trump supporters who don't belong on a place like scratch where everyone is nice to each other in a positive and friendly enviroment. So I kind of support it. If you are someone who supports Trump but isn't some crazy racist person then you should be allowed to be on scratch.

That kind of implies that most supporters of President Trump are crazy racist people… There is really no need to specify “crazy” otherwise. In all fairness, there are crazy people everywhere on the spectrum.

I don't understand how people can just hate someone like that. I'm not saying I support or am against Trump, but I could never truly hate someone. Maybe it's just me

Sorry I didn't mean to make it look like every trump supporter is a racist person. I meant there are trump supporters who are crazy racist people though.

I would prefer Scratch not become an authoritarian power.

Just because you don't like said politician doesn't mean they should be banned.

I'm not here saying Bernie Sanders should be banned because he's a Communist, so why do the same to other politicians?

Most of the Trump projects on this site are non-political, so they don't really say “Yay Trump!” or “Booo Trump!” They mostly have trump eating tacos or something like that.

Look up “Trump” on Scratch,

under penalty of law this signature is not to be removed except by the consumer
