You know, what else I really liked about this episode was that it had more of the mother/son relationship between Pearl and Steven, which I sometimes tell people that I am far more interested in than shipping any characters.

Haha, that's what happened to me.

That would make for an interesting finale. Or at least have an episode explaining more about Gems' life and death or something similar. I'd love to know more about that. I also really badly want a Rose backstory episode.
And exactly! I love the mother/son relationship of those two and seeing it a lot in this episode made me really happy.

I can't believe nobody has brought up the new episode! I absolutely loved it, and it's one of my new favorites. The Gems' casual outfits were adorable, and the fact that it focused on supporting characters was great. It was neat we got to see more about one of the side families.
