"Spricer", this amazing free sprite sheet cutter I found!
I just found the most amazing tool for cutting up sprite sheets! It's free and it works so awesomely!
It's called Spricer, it traces the sprites for you when you open a sprite sheet in some image format, then you can export a whole sheet in seconds!
Here's the link:

So far I'd been using Gimp or Macromedia Fireworks at my school but this is even better! Pretty sure no viruses or anything in the download.

Hey, nobody's interested? I'm not advertising or anything, heck I don't think this was the right place to put this! Maybe this should be in “Help with Scripts”? All I know is I think this tool is better than Photoshop or Fireworks for cutting up sprite sheets into individual images to be used as costumes in Scratch.

If it's something you made that's outside Scratch, then it belongs in Making and Creating.

Not to necropost, but I'm not quite sure how to use the other features in Spricer besides the obvious automatic trace and export of sprite sheets… it seems kind of unwieldy.
It generally does a good job but it seems like you can't control how it traces sprites at all…

Is there still the “Spricer”?
The link was expired already.
I would like to cut off extra parts around the sprites that I made by my own, because needless white backgrounds are always behind my making sprites.
I mean, even if I make sprite-figures by cutting on the shapes properly on Photoshop, after saving with jpeg or something, when I put on the stage, my making sprites always with white background squares…
Does the Spricer help this phenomenon?
I am only a beginner and English is not my native language.
If this question is not posted properly, appologies, and please let me know how to solve my problem.

This is a very old topic - it should probably be closed.

Hey! I'm the creator of Spricer. It's been ages since I last worked on it and the original link died out long time ago.
But if you guys are still interested in it, a more recent and updated (i just updated it) version is available for download
http://www.zerratar.com/spricer.zip :-)
