Spyro the Dragon

I used to have the original 3, but now I only have Spyro the Dragon, and not 2 and 3. I do have every other console Spyro game, though (including Skylanders), as well as two key chains from Wendy's (long time ago), a plushie of Spyro, and the 3rd of the original McDonald's toys, which is now rarer than before. As you can see, I am a HUGE Spyro fan.

I don't know about any body else, but I like the old fashion spyro games than the new ones.

Hope my PS1 works, ‘cause this weekend I’m gonna pull all nighters of this game.

If I can recall, my PS1 works if I hit it a few times.

Anything works if you hit it a few times

I'm stuck with emulation as we sold our PS1 a while ago (BIG mistake). How would I control the thing without an analog stick on my computer keyboard?

Yesss, I found this thread again!

Anyway, in response to turkey3_test's question (sorry for replying so late omg):
Do you like the first the best?
Yeah, actually. My favorite of the first three is probably the third one, with all the new characters n stuff. But the boss fights in Ripto's Rage were way better, IMO, with all of the tools you had to use in order to beat each one. And they were all p difficult, too, which was a first in the game collection I had when I got the original Spyro.

Oh, the Crash Bandicoot hidden demo. So much fun
I actually unlocked that by mistake, I remember, and got really confused so I quit without saving. Fortunately, I had all of my progress backed up, if I remember correctly.

also, I can safely speak for the whole topic here when I say
DON'T BUY SKYLANDERS IT IS A RIPOFF AND CONTAINS LITTLE-TO-NO SPYRO AND IS REALLY EXPENSIVE
Skylanders is just Activision's tool for making more money. Just sayin'.

That @#@%# seed puzzle in Spyro 2 oh my god
I have a funny story about that puzzle…Note that this was a long time ago, so I may not have all of the details right.

So, my dad and were playing Spyro 2, and came across the seed challenge, right? Well, I wondered out loud what would happen if we took one of the seeds out of the area of the seed challenge and spat it out. My dad said “let's do it,” and so we got poor little Spyro to pick up a seed and take it outside the map for the challenge.
When we spat it at a wall, the game froze and this really weird, gloopy-sounding noise played on repeat. The colors glitched too, and everything turned bright green. And I mean, BRIGHT green. My sis came into the room at that time (she was watching us and had to go do something, and came back when she heard us laughing), but it was too late to show her what happened, because we shut off the ps2.

Moral of the story: don't take the seeds from Spyro 2 outside the area they are supposed to stay in and spit them at a wall, unless you want to laugh a whole lot.

I had Spyro 1 and 3, and I had the demo of Spyro 2 on one of those demo disks.

IMO, Skylanders ruined the franchise. I mean 1 was okay, in fact I like the 1st game, but the sequels are just no.
I don't call Skylanders a Spyro game.
I mean, he wasn't even a character in Giants!
And his CAYRECKTUR DEESOYN! *shudders*

Well golly! It seems that the picture won't work! Does anybody know why?

The first is so much fun. And that music is incredible! When I listen to it today I literally almost cry because it reminds me of such a great game that is long forgotten.
Steward Copeland (the composer) writes such beautiful music. The title theme is so catchy! And in one level, the theme is the credit theme from the Amanda Show (which was this show on Nickelodeon that, of course, Copeland composed)!

I don't have it, but I want it! I watched part of an LP of the first one, People say that Enter the Dragonfly is bad, cause of many bugs, bad frame rate, and the game was rushed, but it seems actually ok. Also, I'm surprised no one mentioned the Peace Keeper toads. You know, with the tents, and you burn them, and they shake their… yeah.
Fun facts:
In YOTD, use the swim-in-air glitch and go behind this one out-of-bounds area, and there is an invisible portal (you can still see the swirl part, though). Go through it, and you will be taken to this empty arena (scrapped boss battle?). In the middle, there is a COMPLETELY invisible portal that when you go through it, you return right over the edge, and keep falling until you die.
Also in YOTD, if you pause the game and push SQUARE SQUARE CIRCLE CIRCLE SQUARE SQUARE CIRCLE CIRCLE, you will get a dialogue test. If you do it in Evening Lake, you will be able to find two unused dialogues from The Professor.
In Ripto's Rage through Dragonfly, Spyro was voiced by Tom Kenny.
In 1, if you hold L1 and triangle, you get a Crash Bandicoot demo!
Originally, Spyro was green! The developers thought he would blend in with the grass too much, though, so they made him purple!

Love that thing. So creepy

The level's Dino Mines in Midnight Mountain, if you want to try it. I'll make a video soon enough.
