Yeah like I'm genuinely sorry for this unnecessary argument. I do believe it is over now.
thanks, can we get back to discussing the suggestion now?

I'm just saying you shouldn't just be simply saying “Support”, “Semi-Support”, or “No Support”. Is it that difficult to understand?
Frankly, the only person who is having trouble understanding is you. At least I've tried to counter things you have said. You've just gone and stuck to the same sentence in each post.

And I'll try to fulfill @DisasterPug's request and stop responding to this argument lol. Sorry @M1mikyu.

EDIT: Wait wait wait, did I just read on that image, “The ST evaluates suggestions, not the amount of supporters it has”. Well in that case, perfect! I can say what I want to say about it since the ST doesn't care about the number of supporters it has!
Yes, because it's not all about saying Support, Semi-Support, or No Support, it has to be discussion. That was one thing I was mentioning. Now, we can change the subject now that we got the final case: It's about discussion, not voting.

I am mainly suggesting that since I feel an alert I got earlier today was unfair

I dont want to be reminded of bad things i did in the past. As it just makes me feel guilty and ashamed of my past self. Alerts are the reason i deleted my past accounts. Paddle2see said something like alerts should be something you should read but not some kind of bad thing that haunts you forever.

Parents should know what trouble their kid got into

My parents dont read my messages or monitor my internet use at all and the same goes for most of my friends so how would the parents know this?

Crazy thought - what if alerts were sent out by email? That way the parents would know what their kids were doing, but they wouldnt have to stick around in the kids mailbox forever.
Exactly. I would’ve deleted this account now had they not removed alerts. If they really have to stay, please just make it a week at most. Looking at them makes me feel ill and I start crying, then I just go from that into depression and ends up badly. IK it sounds dramatic, but…
plus once I got an alert because I lost my temper with this idiot who copied me and wrote a tiny thing telling them they really upset me, and it was removed. Wow, just the right thing when you’ve been through nightmares in the past few days. (I don’t really want to talk about that anymore though as it makes me feel bad)
And then when the ST thought I meant something else when I said something.
I have anger problems and I’m very sensitive to certain things, please be more accepting of me and I’m more likely to listen to an actual ST member, not some agitating alert.

TBH, I’ve actually find alerts MAKE you do bad things because you’re so upset and you don’t realise what you’re doing.

sorry if that was harsh but it’s my opinion and I’m being honest at least
sorry if I hurt you, but…

I find I hardly learn much from the alert, as I have already learnt through myself not to do it again

Support. It should stay forever, as a constant reminder not to do that thing and also to have a record of the things you did in the past. At this point in time, the current “alert” system waits until you've read it; you could easily click the tab and exit really quick, and never have known the alert existed.
No support. A week is okay-ish, but if it was forever that’d be the end of my Scratch account

1. You should be feeling sorry for yourself. Forgetting is not making the past better.
2. Just because YOUR parents don't read the messages doesn't mean we shouldn't have this suggestion all because of you.
3. Parents' email, my friend, parents' email.

1: True, true. I actually agree with you here. My only argument is that at age 8, I was a troll, and I have since turned over a new leaf and want to pretend like i never trolled people.
2: It's not all because of me. Most of the Scratch community don't have their parents read their messages - I don't know anyone whose parents read their messages. And I've known a lot of people during my 4 years on Scratch.
3: wot

Support, people should be able to go back whenever they want to see things they have done wrong in the past, in order to not repeat the same mistakes over and over again. A separate tab for alerts in the messages page seems like a good idea.

Well, some parents don't read their kids messages…
The last time my mom heard about Scratch she told me she didn't want me on there…

Anyway I support this, usually (from what I've seen) alerts cause confusion to users who didn't know they were doing something wrong (hehe not me, I've never messed up)

On the alert it does give you the sentence of where you messed up so you can know what you did wrong. Like for example someone named a suggestion “Friends” so I said support and then I attached the lyrics for the “Friends” theme song and I got an alert for spamming. On the alert, it told me that that was what caused the alert.

No support because
1.i liked it when the ST finally allowed scratchers to permanently remove alerts(those things gave me nightmares),it's better to actually learn from it instead of knowing it'll be haunting you for the rest of your time on scratch
2.when you get an alert, you have to deal with it, not your parents, alerts aren't suspensions from school, they're just warnings(no disrespect intended)

no support on that, i don't want dad yelling at me for a mistake i did on a website, alerts make me feel guilty and if they were on email,i would quit scratch because i don't want to be on a website that emails my dad every single thing i did
