I really am addicted to arcades. It's more addictive than gambling. I like the Main Event down in Independence, MO. I also like Space Invaders Frenzy and the Worlds Largest Pac-Man. I'm also unhealthily addicted to claw machines. I won this cool Shadow and Super Sonic plush from the claw machine at Walmart once.

The trick to rigging most machines is to miss for about 24-39 times, and that increases the chance of winning, because, legally, you have a 1/12 chance, and when the twelfth person loses, it changes the PSI to favor the play a little bit more. If you fail a lot, it just favors you more, and more times in a row, but try not to hit that cap, as that can mess with things.
Or at least that's how it works at the Walmart near me.

My favourite arcade games are Punch-Out!!, Super Punch-Out!! and Arm Wrestling, which is a spin-off of the Punch-Out!! games. Yeah, no real pattern or anything.
Real talk (even though I really like those three games), my favourite arcade staple is probably BurgerTime. Pac-Man is good fun, but there comes a time when you just get a bit too much Pac-Man, y'know? Though IDK if I'm as adamant about BurgerTime as I used to be.

I…will have to try this out and see if it works outside your Walmart. That's an interesting theory, for sure. EDIT: Though to be able to afford to lose that much would probably require an incredibly steady amount of income. The only arcade here is one at some restaurant where there's a bunch of old arcade games(like all of the non-Nintendo ones) on one machine and you get to play it for free. It's pretty cool

There's an arcade somewhere near me, it has a lot of vintage games such as Mappy, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, etc.
Those are the games I play there most often, though I'm not great at them

Yeah. The only arcade we have is Main Event. When I'm down at my lake house, we occasionally drive up to town to buy things at Walmart, and I play the claw machine while my grandmother/dad/uncle/etc shops. I love claw machines, they're SO addictive. (Especially when you win money!) There's an arcade somewhere near me, it has a lot of vintage games such as Mappy, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, etc.

I don't know of Galaga from the Avengers, but I am familiar with the game. Is this what you've found from personal experience? Anyone else sad that most people only have heard of Galaga from the Avengers.

That S.H.E.I.L.D guy playing Galaga in the movie. Yes and in hindsight that comment would be more accurate a few years ago.I don't know of Galaga from the Avengers, but I am familiar with the game. I've seen ones to put Ipads in, and mini claw machines. I got a mini arcade machine for Christmas.

I've made a few custom arcade cabinets and pinball machines, including a Sonic pinball machine. The arcade joysticks are a pain to put in using a Raspberry Pi, though. Claw machines are fun.I've seen ones to put Ipads in, and mini claw machines. I got a mini arcade machine for Christmas.

This thread hasn't been active since 2017. Let's change that.
My dad is planning to build an arcade machine with a Raspberry Pi. I made a mock-up of what I would want.

I don't really like arcade games because I despise searching things in real life. :P
