I can't tell you how many times I have to physically find and check all of my followed accounts just to see if they have posted, because it takes a long time.

What does this mean? Because I dont want to get a notification every time somebody I follow comments on something.
1. That would be too many notifications
2. I don't want to know when or what they post
3. Why would they want me to know when or what they post?

Edit: sorry I didnt understand what you said, this should be a toggleable option because I personally do not want this on but others will

Ahh, I wasn't clear enough. Yes, it would be togglable, and it would be just for projects. Not forum posts, project posts (but I suppose that could be an option too…)

I can see a lot of possibilities for abuse, like spam. Support if it can be toggled, though.

If it can be toggled, support, as I know a few Scratchers who follow 100s of people. And make projects (not an only free follows acc)

I'd like to have an option for every single user, and also a “select all” to get notifications for every user and “deselect all”.

No support, Notifications is for when something involving YOU happens, like updates in a forum your following or when your project gets a favorite,

Support if it's optional. I wouldn't want my messages to get spammed by many users sharing a project, but others might find this useful.

Someone could spam your message wall by creating projects that have nothing on it. Sorry.

Actually, this notification idea actually involves you, since you are getting updates from a user that YOU FOLLOWED.

^Support if it could be toggled. Not on or off completely, but I want to get notifs from some people that I follow but not from others. I'd also like to suggest that the “get notifications when this person shares projects” button be directly next to the “follow” button on someone's profile so that they can't miss it.

^Partial support for that, because I wouldn't like the extra notifications but other users might.

Then you unfollow the person and they can't spam your messages anymore.

this is exactly what the feed on the front page is for, but I think it would be nice if one's feed messages weren't deleted immediately upon five new ones replacing it and if instead your messages were kept for a certain amount of days at least, in which time you could scroll through them and find earlier ones. i guess it would be nice to do this with notifications, but maybe an easier solution would be to allow one's feed messages to be directed to their notifications rather than being on the front page.

Semi-support if it's optional. I can see this being pretty annoying in some cases, mostly if you forget you followed someone and they're very active.

I can also see users unfollowing users just because they post a lot of projects.

That is a perfectly normal reason to unfollow someone; following should only mean that you want to be notified about their activity.
