I'm a developer for Waffle. Waffle is more advanced than Scratch. It is 3D and allows users to convert projects to .exe files. Waffle is heavily based on canvas is self made, not using Blockly, with the inspiration coming from Scratch.

Waffle is similar to Beetle Blocks since Beetle Blocks is in 3D. Waffle will have different blocks with it being more advance than the Scratch interface.
Waffle was founded by amazinigmech2418 with me being the main developer and also getting help (beta, etc) from the Scratch community.

Waffle is Open-source on GitHub and we appreciate help. Talk to us on this forum for everything.

Isn't stymphalianbirb a Scratch Team member? I couldn't find any of their contributions on your project. Why do you associate your project with them?

Since so many people are making drag-and-drop languages now, should we just make a canvas drag-and-drop library (like Blockly)? Blockly is great and all, but it's pretty inflexible, and doesn't use canvas elements.

Moving on from Scratch? Learn Python/a scripting language (e.g Perl, JavaScript), then move on to a C derivative
