Instead, I would like to see:

One problem with this is depending on time tracking per notification. What if your notifications has this:

JohnDoe1 liked 5 projects: This One, That One, Another One, There…

JohnDoe1 liked Football Simulator

Let's say you got a notification that says that a user has liked 5 projects. While you are on the website, that same user likes another project, and guess what? It doesn't get added to the previous notification, it becomes its own notification. Later, while you still are on the website, that same user likes another project, and guess what? Adding to the amount of projects won't make sense because the first notification seen here isn't the most recent notification anymore, instead it acts like the second notification seen here, so it gets added to the list.

Support. It would be helpful, and you wouldn't have fifty different messages for studio activity. Only one! However, it should create a new notification every day, to help popular users avoid a two page long message for each project. What could happen:

Example_User and 568 others commented on your project: Example Project. |View allv|
Last updated: Today, 1:05:07 First Made: Three months ago, 7:55:44

What I suggest:

Example_User and 5 others commented on your project Example Project today. |View allv|

Support. I do hate getting so many messages from studios that I like, but are so popular that my inbox is constantly clogged up.

I come from the future where there is an extension that lets you see your messages and it does this.

In my opinion, I feel like having an accurate message number is kind of important. It makes sense that the number of interactions and the number of notifications should directly correlate. Maybe this could be optional; I personally like the current system more.

Mockup 1:
See more (or “7 people” for the second image) would expand the message to show you the list of people that did that action.



Mockup 2:
This will just show the list of people that made that action immediately.

hmm sadly this won't get added to the op. however the mock-up looks good and could be used. Support for cutting back messsage spam.

I have made a dupe of this and I support it because it’s really good that you don’t get 28464 like griffpatch.
All you get is like 3 notifications
