What will happen to Scratch if Net Neutrality is killed?

Hold on, why don't we just get the ST to advertise this in a featured project or a pop-up or something? No net neutrality would almost certainly reduce scratch's population. Plus, the ST will probably have to pay even MORE to run scratch, and from what I've heard, they don't get paid very much. And I would hate for scratch to have ads.

Something like how Wikipedia asks for donations?
I think Wikipedia has something about net neutrality as well, but I don't think it belongs on Scratch

I meant that scratch will need to have a popup banner with “Donate” every time you get on this site.

I still think scratch should support net neutrality. I would REALLY hate to see ads on the site.
Oh it definitely should, if they want people on their site. Whatever ends up happening, I don't think Scratch will turn to advertisements
Maybe MIT will raise tuition fees?

I'm not sure… That logic would definitely mean that most colleges that run through applications and stuff through the web would be in serious trouble if they ran short of money.

I honestly don't think that Scratch is going to end. Scratch has already been declared free from multiple sources. However, should Net Neutrality apply to Scratch, it could mean degraded quality in terms of speed and reliability, as now some of their budget would have to involve the expenses for keeping up with the internet loads.

All I can say is good luck on Thursday America.
Also I can't wait for my internet speeds to plummet on all American sites. I'll just stick with Canadian news sources; I can probably deal with a slower version of Scratch if the time comes because I never make projects anyway

Yeah, but at least the ST won't have to deal with flash anymore.

If we don't vote, tomorrow will be the Doomsday for the Internet.

My governor announced a plan to force ISPs in my state to continue obeying net neutrality laws. Who wants to move in?
Also, other important news today, more than 2 million comments submitted in support of repealing net neutrality were found to be fraudulent today.

No, I meant “The end is near” in the sense of approaching doom.

The issue goes far deeper than “i see a lot of protests so obviously they wouldn't vote it out”.
While most of the American population prefers net neutrality to stay, the FCC is on a 3-2 stance against it, because telecom companies (ISPs) can pay them through “donations”. Congress members get paid $5,000 - $200,000 a year by telecom companies like Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, etc. to keep their opposing stance on net neutrality.
While this is technically an opinion (ooooh, CoNsPirAcY ThEoRiEs!), its pretty obvious that FCC is corrupt. They ignore the blatant and proven evidence that millions of anti net neutrality comments were forged, and disregard all the pro net neutrality ones.

Net Neutrality is most certainly going to die, but it doesn't mark the end of Scratch, or the internet. Scratch will still be here, you'll just have to pay more to access it. The internet will still be here, it will just be tough to access it. We can only hope your local ISP doesn't jack up prices (my condolences if you have Comcast).
If net neutrality is killed Comcast and Verizon is blocking Netflix, AT&T is blocking FaceTime, and others haven't said on their site.

If you have ads they will have to be still ads. Video ads will cause lag.

Oh, I know some apple users with AT&T that rely on FaceTime. This is going to SUCK for us.
