If this suggestion was added the discuss button would still be on the footer.

Bur aren't you suggesting that there should be a navigation bar? I also think something like this is rejected but maybe the slider thing could work.

What I'm trying to say is, in this suggestion, the discuss button would be available in the new navigation bar (introduced in this suggestion) and it would still be available in the footer. If this suggestion was added you could continue to go to the footer like nothing has changed or use the navigation bar, so everybody wins.

Note that #bring_it_back is a rejected suggestion but this suggestion is different than #bring_it_back.

Just because you are used to it doesn't mean it applies to everyone. Even I'm tired of scrolling down to the bottom of the page.

Bring it back is not rejected, it's just that ST won't put the button back on the top bar but that doesn't mean we should only keep it in the footer. “#Bring_it_back” is actually to prevent user from going to the footer, not just for the top bar, and etc.

But I think the discuss button in the navigation bar suggestion is also rejected… I could be wrong though but I think that's right.

The Ultimate Solution to the Problems of the Navigation Bar

This wasn't suggested in the first place because the entire forums acted like the community was in fallout.
The 1% of users is going to drop down to 0.95%!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing has changed since I went inactive long ago, I don't see why Bring it back is a thing.
And I support this suggestion to its fullest.
