SUGGESTIONS FOR SCRATCH 3.0

This is a thread where you can post your suggestions for Scratch 3.0.

Hopefully this will get enough attention where the Scratch Team will acknowledge possibly your own opinions for the upcoming S-3.0!!

1. Your suggestions for Scratch 3.0

2. Workarounds that resolve people's suggestion issues.

3. Workarounds that are hacked blocks with a link to its project. I don't really want to have hacked blocks but for the time being you can post a hacked block with a link to its project. Simply commenting the hacked block with scratchblocks doesn't help if the person cannot make the hacked block.

To start this off, I propose that Scratch 3.0 allows you to have a bigger project screen. Instead of the screen being 480x360, it could be 600x450.

I'm saying this for the 3.0 and not 2.0. Everyone is kinda already set to the perimeter now, but I'd love to get a bigger screen going on.

I propose that clones should be able to change, set, add, etc… to in-sprite (or private) variables and lists. currently, they don't. If you want them to do things to variables and lists, they must be public. That creates so much clutter if you have variables/lists for every sprite.

I think there should be a separate tab for block definitions. I want to put all my definitions somewhere else so it doesn't add to the clutter.

I want to have a “create variable” block. It would just create a variable with no name, just a number, and you would be able to add things to “variable number (number).”

This is not how you post Suggestions. You need to make a specific topic for each suggestion, because that's what the ST looks at. This topic is unnecessary.

workaround:

You would have to hack the block, and if you don't know how, then you have to surf through Scratch to find someone who did.

It's just a list of suggestions in a thread. No discussions on each one making the thread hard to follow will be found here.
