[Discussion] Anyone here have Bitcoin?
Unless you are living under a rock, you probably know that Bitcoin has been going crazy lately. Prices are fluctuating, and people are getting rich.
I have 0.002 BTC and the value has been rising steadily. EDIT: I sold lol. How about you guys?

The general rule about Bitcoin is to not talk about how much you have, since it makes you a target for attackers.

Suppose I said that I have 100 BTC in Coinbase. Instantly, people would try to break into my Coinbase account to steal my money. The general rule about Bitcoin is to not talk about how much you have, since it makes you a target for attackers. What do you mean?

Yes but I don't think people on this forum would have the know-how to do so, and the few who do still don't know your identity, BTC address, or your private key, all needed to be known to transfer bitcoin from your personal wallet into theirs (minus the identity part, unless there is a two way factor authentication thing you have to go through)Suppose I said that I have 100 BTC in Coinbase. Not, but imagine I use my pro haxors skills to make a visual basic programTrue, but they can google. Can you imagine they'd really be able to just Google “how 2 hack bit coin”
then somehow get the target to download it, bammm I could have that do anything I want. Visual Basic is super simple to use and super dangerous- Wettining

I think you mean VBScript not Visual BasicNot, but imagine I use my pro haxors skills to make a visual basic programTrue, but they can google. Can you imagine they'd really be able to just Google “how 2 hack bit coin”then somehow get the target to download it, bammm I could have that do anything I want. the main difference is that Visual Basic isn't usually able to run ‘uncompiled’ code (can't run the code straight from a file without compiling into a binary then running that binary) and that VBScript is a subset of Visual Basic 6.0

i currently have my upcoming rerelease game https://brownie.cf (if you want to stay anonymous click here) mining monero using Coinhive, but i am also mining using a few computers (total of 300-800 H/s) on minergate
I am mining monero and i may trade it to BTC later.

Can you actually make any money mining using a mid-end gpu at the minute? I just checked and mine has a hash rate of ~500h/s apparently, and I'm wondering if I should try? I know bitcoin/any currency that can use ASIC miners won't be profitable, but could anything else? (e.g. monero)
