I can't get the sprite to speak no matter what I do.
I'm making a 3 minute animation for my advanced tech class. I have tried putting a broadcast block at the end of my title page and then putting a when I receive block. It won't work. This is the code I used that will not work for me but for everyone else.

when I receive [2]
say [I'm so excited for Christmas!!] for (5) secs

I have until friday to have my animation done…… but I haven't even got 30 seconds done yet…… any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok, if the speech bubble isn't coming up check that the sprite you want to talk is shown.

when I receive [ 2v]

show

say [what you want your sprite to say] for (5) secs

hide

If that doesn't work then please give me the link to your project and I will have remixed the fixed version.

Thanks so much Olitwiglet! That worked perfectly!! Now I need to figure out how make my other sprite say something when the first one is done talking.

I'm not sure what you mean. Could you reply by pressing quote and be more specific?

There's this tool that is a big plus sign that you can use when you go to create a sprite. it looks like a really big + sign that centers the sprite.

If you mean the one when you click paint brush and then you can create a sprite, the button is in the top right corner of the page isn't it? Well that button shows the coordinates of the sprite you're building.

TIPS ON FINDING OUT WHAT A BUTTON DOES
If you don't know what a button does then hover your mouse over it and it will say below the button.
